Culdn't help but fall in love with this image, and I kept asking myself "Is it really Atra?", then the question arose "Well... what is really Atra?" I have never found a picture that did her justice. Royo is over used, lost its appeal. This picture I have never seen anyone use and I like that. I look at his now, and I can actually see Atra, well the deceiving aspect of her, the darkness and the lust in this image. It does work.

I actually think people tend to overdo it these days, and they make their characters look too dark therefore removing the mystique. My sense of evil was never being a brute exactly... it is more of a subtle evil. One that penetrates to the core and rots from the inside out. It is a more fearful evil because no one but Atra ever knows what she is thinking and what she is up to. ;)

hahaha o'crafty one. ;) Yes it was an interesting choice, oriental. I am actually getting some oriental tattoo work done soon, a back job pretty much. At the moment I am greatly influenced by oriental art. It was possibly the foundary of my choice. Regardless, beauty is a dipiction and I think this sums Atra up, in a way no artist has. I will have to see what Heise comes up, since her and I have been discussing her doing a commission for me. Not until after Xmas though.
