Hey there all, just thought I would create this topic so we can discuss things relating to Darkbane/the IC thread.
I also wanted to say that I loved both of your posts Pandora/Ballathor and I will endeavour to get a reply written up for you after work tonight. (I'm in England so run on GMT time/British summer time at the moment and so tonight for me is roughly..9 hours away).

Not a worry and your post was good too EJ. I can not wait to see what happens with the posts and Darkbane. I had left the clan long before Dy and Pandora. I lost my internet and had a bad run of life. I am back and exicted about the roleplay. I have been speaking with a couple of the Darkbanes I had on my list and they may return it depends on how things go with their situations.

Ah i'm sorry to hear that you've had a rough time of it in the past mate, so let me be the first to welcome you back :D, hopefully you won't be the only old member that creeps out of history's pages in the days to come.

No worries dude. I am not too sure on the tke of this Kalicity but have seen and heard enough about it to not want to know it. I received an email from her bitching about how she would appreciate that I did not bother her incharacter. Ii was like wtf? You lie and cheat and yet incharacter which is not meant to cross over outofcharacter or the other, not prepared to take the challenge to explian herself. It was all bitch Dy this, and bitch Dy that. To be frank Dy has never been anything but pleasant to me, didn't erase my incharacter post and delete me from her forum. From what I have read and seen of Dy incharacter in here and outofcharacter here she welcomes a challenge no matter what it is and handles it with a graceful manner.
I am more inclined to believe Dy. Going by how active this forum is compared to Kalicity's that says enough. That EdenCRAP-PIECENation is as dead as what she is going to be when I get my incharacter hands on her, as long as she doesn't delete me again. Malice, your post was excellent. I could not help but laugh and spin around in my seat. My family thought I was a nutter before now they really think I am a basket case. Keep up the great posts they are inspiring me.

I know I am nothing to do with Darkbane, but damn me that was a nice post EJ... I had no trouble working out who your words were directed at and it was simply wonderful to wake up and read such a delectable jibe at the heart of Kalicity, the attempted assassin of an old and proud name... Hehe thank you all for the compliments, and i'm glad I still manage to inspire people Ballathor, i'm truly honoured. Sometimes I admit I try new approaches to things and they don't always pay off, which is why I made the comment about who Malice was angry at, just incase my post didn't read as smoothly as I thought it did.

Awesome posts guys, i'll try to get a post up for you as soon as I can within the next day or two. It has been a busy weekend for me thus far because on Saturday some twat knocked me off my motorbike :\ when I was like 20 feet from my house/getting home, so that sucked heh and then on Monday i've got Wrist surgery (for an old injury, wasn't hurt in the bike accident thankfully) so they've both been on my mind this weekend and I haven't been up to writing anything.
I just thought i'd type this though to let you all know what's happening and to assure you that I haven't forgot it's my turn to post or anything lol, i've just been tied up over the past few days.

Errrrrr...... Yeah I know hun but I have a lot to consider. I could right it all off as bad experience, throw a pinch of salt over my shoulder and try not to walk under ladders too, lol. It's kind of a bit of a taboo for me to be honest and I really would have to mind my p's and q's and you know that just isn't my style. I'm a tongue nji cheek kind of person who is blunt and honest. My straightforwardness has sometimes been a curse for others because I take the knocks and I damn well stand up and say "Bring it on bitches". I have spent many pensive hours and a lot of money on aspirin in thinking about returning...
Everything is up for discussion and even though I don't have a lot of respect for the name of Darkbane any more due to past dishonours and false truths. They are two things that really disgust me morally and I do have a strict OOC code of ethics that I do not bend for no one and no how. We will just have to see how the rp goes hun and see what the future holds. I haven't completely closed off the option, but having said this I am not the problem, my character is so all I can suggest is that when Pandora and Atra meet face to face Pandora or anyone in the vicinity of Pandora would want to choose their words very wisely and cautiously and some would do best not to even speak... trust runneth very thin and in this case blood is not thicker then water...

Alright nice one mate, i'll have to come up with something juicy for you to sink your teeth into then hehe. I had intended to go to Eden with Malice to fix an old problem of the clans, but as expected Kalicity is nothing but a childish coward and she won't face Malice IC.
Additionally Vorsoth, i'm sure Darlene and I would welcome the prospect of 'new blood' joining the ranks, but we're currently still in the process of bringing Darkbane back and so i'm not too sure if we have reached a point in the Storyline where we can recruit, as of yet. (I'll need to talk to Pandora after I make my next post tonight to see if/how she wants to go about refilling the Ranks.)
Cheers for the interest though, and I hope you stick around because there may be a place for you in the very near future.

I agree EJ. Past is past and we have to move from it, grow and learn. I think the best thing that has come from it is... that we know who we can trust and who has served the memory of Darkbane as its creator intended without altering its history. I am going to talk over the weekend to Dar, having spent much of last night chatting to her over the phone. I may bring Atra back, we will just have to see... but I am bringing back one of my other Darkbane's which in total I had 4. When I am not so busy I will bring back the other 2.
I am also in discussion with a few of the other older members who will come along and see what is going on, when it kicks off. In conversation, I have assured them Kalicity will be making no return anywhere in the history of Darkbane as per Darlene's wishes.
As they say... onwards and upwards.
By the way, welcome to any returning or new member. May we prosper!

Hmm, it didn't matter to me, since I assumed Atrox was going to enter the Temple after whatever he was doing lol, but no worries, I'd already mentioned Malice knowing he was somewhere beyond the Temple, so it all ties in for me either way.

To my understanding having read the role-play, I am under the total misconception he was already in the temple since he knew Pan & Malice were doing the double-decked monster. Even replied to Pandora, so whatever lol. I just wish people were consistent with whatever the hell they are doing. Because in this, it seems I am not the only one who read wrong =| duh!

to mean Atrox was somewhere outside the Temple, but near enough to sense what was happening inside, so that's what I personally replied to in my posts. You'd have to ask Craig what he actually meant though. [/size]

I was outside the temple and the interaction by both pandora and malice to my char came from them, i simply replied in a way that would show they could contact me without being in front of me. A sort of telepathic link as would be assumed due to history and the fact i was outside and they spoke.
The commotion inside would cause a ripple if malice was talking to my char while doing the deed and as such i didnt state he WAS doing the deed but "Your probably getting laid" knowing ej's char and all.
This is becoming silly so lets just leave it and move on cause i dont really wanna discuss rp...i would prefer to actually rp.
EJ the link between malice and atrox as far as im concerned stands so yeah we both communicated and im gonna include that in future rp if thats ok?

Then if you both read correctly the Temple or influences outside the temple will not enter the temple. Pandora's call was to contact any DB member and have them enter the temple. Then again I did not expect too much from some involved.

In this case it was not floor between them, but space... floor suggests only a few yards away, not rooms or other locations.
As for not discussing rp Craig, you miss the whole part that sometimes calls for rp discussion and that is to talk. when people are confused. Because your writing is rather loose and vague. If you wish to be so rude and non-willing to communicate, then perhaps you should not be here.

Unless I am mistaken and Darlene is mistaken that Atrox ever was a DB. =| -rolls eyes- Darlene posted in like 3-4 posts her intentions and calling out to the blood of the Dakbane members. -blinks-

Her contact with me was her own rp from that moment..... the moment atrox re-surfaced and stated he was outside the temple......... yet apparently i never stepped foot inside so my posts were moved....not that rp'd i was outside the temple or anything..............

I am going by what is written IN the posts.
1. Atrox is/was a DB.
2. Pandora & Ballthor both posted summonings in their posts to ALL DB's.
3. You posted IN the same thread. Your writing suggested Atrox was inside the temple by the words you chose... and there are 4-6 references that have confused people in your characters location.
4. The author of the thread requested your posts be moved because you told her you/Atrox are not in the same scene, even though Pandora summoned ALL DB's to the temple through the blood. Atrox should have felt that calling IF he is a DB. And conversed to those characters assuming they would even hear via telepathy (suggested auto). When they spoke directly because of the confused location of your character.
5. There is still confusion and Darlene requested that I look into it, point out the confusion and sort the issue out.

Yikes@ all the arguing. I will only comment about Malice's actions here, since I responded to certain things so to clarify- I assumed Malice received Atrox's comments via some sort of telepathic link and allowed it to happen, Malice initially addressed Atrox by amplifying his voice to such a degree that it passed through the Temple and surrounding grounds. He then performed his latest reply (seen in my last post) via the telepathic link (although I expressly said Atrox could either access it or not, depending on if he wanted to or not, to ensure it wasn't an auto on my part).
I do have to agree, however, that Atrox's posts were pretty vague and so I did a bit of guess work there (which turned out to be right apparently) so can understand why there is some confusion about what was actually happening. As far as our communication is concerned though Craig, feel free to include it in future RP, because whilst there is some doubt about where you were, Malice projected his voice for miles around at first and then via telepathy, so I have no problems with you hearing it.

Hi there everyone, just posting here since the forum seems to have blown up over night and I just wanted to explain something. Firstly i'm not trying to "enforce D&D rules" on anyone, and I apologize for any misunderstanding my latest post may have caused- All Malice's powers/abilities are inspired by D&D spells/magic etc and then are adapted into Freeform style Roleplay.
The only reason I even mentioned D&D in my comments about my post was because I thought some other players out there might be interested in where the ideas originated from. I by no means intended to suggest that the thread was anything but Freeform RP.
Should you need to counter the defenses I put in place, then you can do so in the way you would anything else in T1.

I saw both of these debates from both sides. I am no fan of D&D myself to state otherwise wouldn't be the truth. However, we all adapt ideas from other sources... well some of us. I prefer the knowledge I know RL in regards to how I would conduct spells/rituals etc in role-play. Not everyone has the extensive IRL library in regards to demonology, satanism etc that I have- some are not as blessed.
I am sure this was all a misunderstanding and we can move on from it all.
Communication is the key here peoples =)

Been a couple of uppity months but I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. To play it out we have to discuss things firat so we both know where we stand and the rocky ground it shall be upon.
I have taken a little bit of time to think about this, so we will jusy have to see how it plays out and take it from there love. I hardly want to make your role-play experience a total bummer; that isn't what I am about and beating down a chartacter that has been retired for the good part of 8 years isn't my style either. You have always been a good friend, one I could always count on and one who never pretended to be anything but who you are. That is a lot to ask for these days because so many hold their tongues to spite their venoms. I have no time for backbiters and two-faced bitches not even worth a quarter of my time.

Since most of Atra's army has been in existence since 2004, starting back in dotcom and then over in Aoyn when Atra took Eden and then Tenaria. It was only because Josie & Amber & Andrew did a big bitchy to JC because we took out their poxy NPC spaceships LoL, that JC OOC'ly took Tenaria from me, it was never IC ;).

Malice has had his army since like 2004 too back on .com, but I don't even have anyone to RP its generals atm lol (they've all disappeared as we discussed in pm) so I doubt i'd be much challenge, even if I did NPC all my troops. It's a pity there's not some hardcore Edenite out there that wants to make things interesting and play your opposition or something lol.

Atra's version was changed of it when I spoke to Bruce about having it removed from Aoyn because it was JC's version of Eden that was a total ripoff from the original players and creators. When I took it to JC we got into a terrible arguement over it and that is what ended me up banned. Victoria gladly took over because well, we all know she loves ripping other people's shit off. I wanted to change Eden into the name Carthin, which we did back in Asylia (or whatever we named it) because that was when xorbit closed Aoyn down and it was moved to Julian's server, that caused a whole new form of drama.
Any Edenite can claim what they wish and make opposition but to tell you the truth it would be rather pointless because Atra will just look at them and say "WTF are you on about", Atra's Eden is based on the actual myth of Eden, when it was open to mortal and then they were banished leaving the angels and demons to fight over it. It is a forbidden realm, a realm of the damned so to speak. Any mention of any city or realm inside of Eden created in Games would just get laughed at and treated like a moron. I was never one to steal anothers ideas and creations, nor shall I accept anyone trying to force it on me or my character when really Atra's Eden is a whole different place.[/align:f019e281d6]

Yea your version of Eden is better the other one was so fucking boring and lame it made me want to gag. I cannot even remember my characters name from there other than Ariella the Mage, a real gay type of name.
I remember when someone tried to bring an evil character in and they all bitched about it out of character like a pack of bitches on the rag. It was the same old shit every single day so if some one wants to bring a bit of darkness to it, bring it on because I will be in it.

lol maybe Malaise, though I think they have all just been busy with IRL stuff before/over Christmas and then afterwards they saw the forum was dead (until recently) and figured nothing was happening. I suppose I could try to contact them, but I don't really have anything for my army to do IC wise atm anyway, but who knows what the future holds I guess.
As for you Dy, you foxy little minx ^_~, I can play whatever you want me to heh, though I think developing a character's concept together might be an interesting project, sort of like what you did with Ladislas.

Haha just give the lady what she wants and she will love you even more ;). I guess we could do that, though sometimes when something requires too much thinking I bore of it because I like to be random. As for the forum being dead and all that, yes it was, but that is no excuse for people not to post, I get really annoyed when people want you to do everything for them. Role-play requires others to post instead of being lazy and waiting for something to happen, you should MAKE it happen. I do, and I am never without RP.

There we go, my post is up. Since it has some pretty wide-sweeping ramifications/things that might confuse some people though, feel free to ask if you would like me to clarify a portion of it for you.

however... this is some thing I do not get
Apparently Malayeka's body had moved faster than her mind as well as her eyes playing tricks on her. For when she retook her spot in front of Pandora all that laided there was a maggot filled head. Her eyes quickly shifted to to both sides the sound of bugs filled the air. She felt a small gust of air as the little girl plunged her blade towards her.
Instead of spinning around to meet her face on she leap into the air. The blade grazing the top of her foot. Malayeka landing behind the small child seeing as there was nothing to stop the force of her attack. Her hand extending outwards towards Roses legs her nails searching for flesh. Each one laced with a different type of poison. Ranging from neurotoxin to simple cyanide. With barely more than a whisper but loud enough to be heard she said. "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me."
The plague of serpents, locusts were ignored, your character woulds have jumped up right into them
Getting a mouthful of bugs, then again have you ever been in a locust storm(swarm) the barbs on their legs can strip flesh off to the bone. Google it
Next how did your character grab the leg of a child. You lack any description of where your character is other than behind her. Try a wall for she just crawled out of the grate and walked towards Pandora
Leaping into the air, you did not say how high she left or took into consideration general structures of the temple and others around you
Maybe you just leaped in Tainted Nightmares or the other female character in the thread
Leaping into the air is kind of noob, something I would expect from Cel or Kalicity
Is your character standing, dancing, plucking eyebrows, crouching down verylow to the point she would nearly be laying on her stomach?
Which leg are you grabbing at?
You missed all the details that were vital to your post, like locations and direction for example

ok first off sorry for the auto, but as for the other post yes short and lacking detail. At the moment ive got alot going on. im trying not to leave anyone hanging by not posting. sorry if im not all into right now. and i didnt say that i grabbed her leg.

the key word in that sentence searching. i was trying not to auto this time. i know its not the worlds best post but at this point its the best i can manage. sorry if its not up to your high standards.

I think Blood Roses just wanted a rough idea of where you were aiming etc, in answer to the questions she posed about your character's position. I'm sure we can all understand if you have time constraints IRL, but telling everyone a few more details in this OOC thread can really help to establish what is happening in the scene.
For example- If I were to judge by the reply you made about the searching comment Malayeka, I would perhaps interprit it as you raking wildy at any part of Blood Roses legs, though obviously none of us like to make assumptions and so I think it would help greatly if, rather than insulting each other, we tried to keep it civil and simply answered each others questions.
As far as I can tell though, these are the questions Blood Roses was asking:
1. Do you acknowledge/avoid the swarm of insects that is caking/cloaking Blood Roses's body during your manoeuvre?
2. Where is your character positioned, in relation to Blood Roses's own? (are you facing her back, standing to one side of her and attacking, etc?)
3. Are you infact just generally raking at both of Blood Roses's legs, or did you intend to aim somewhere more specific? (Note here i'm not telling you to change your post or anything so you now attack her face lol, just asking if there is a part of your post where you mention your intended target that we seem to have missed. )
In the future, however, I personally wouldn't worry if you can't describe every little detail in a crystal clear fashion, since I understand when IRL cuts in to your RP time and makes it a real bitch to come up with something. What I would suggest though is that you try to slip in a few basic hints about directions of attacks etc into the posts, so then even if you don't have enough time you can post something like "Malaeyka swung her sword towards Blood Roses sternum", then afterwards when you have a few more minutes to spare, simply add something here in the OOC thread along the lines of "By the way just to clarify- I'm slashing with my sword in a diagonally descending arc, not thrusting or anything".
I've rambled enough for one post though lol, so hopefully the reflections of someone who has 'been in the game' for quite a long time can help you with your future posts, since i'd rather try to develop this RP community, than fling insults, but that's just me.

Instead she said "Which leg are you grabbing at?" it does not matter if the keyword is 'searching' because it is obvious you aren't going to kiss it to death. Grabbing indicates the terminology for 'taking, seizing, holding'... this just indicates to me, the asking of which leg is your character grabbing for. Yes your post lacks a little detail, that is no biggie but certainly when you have been attacked by someone and make motion or motions in order to dodge then attack back... you DO have to include the detail in relation to which limb is where, where you are actually attacking, how etc etc.
Your post makes it difficult to type a response because it lacks this detail. We all have shit going on RL, I know I certainly do. Stuff that takes me away from the PC for days on end. I have health concerns with this child I am carrying not to mention doctors with concerns for my own life during labor. It happens. But we make do with the time we have here.
I think the 'high standard' comment was a little over the top not to mention her 'noob' one; her and I have had words over this. In your reply you still did not answer her questions. Either way, the post remains and you do not answer she can basically void your post all together. A pretty legal action where Melee is concerned. I am not taking anyone's sides, just stating how it is for all concerned...[/align:68aa833515]

I'm alive, no worries. Bad and unexpected things happened followed by good and unexpected things. Long story short: I'm engaged and I've gotten a new job =D.
Sorry for the unexplained absence, but I'm back now and I'll be swinging the Abaddon around for a bit if you see fit to have Malice scoop him up I'm all for that. Life is hectic as always but I will do my very best to post at least once a day, unless there's a midterm (college sucks).
Anywho, rawr and expect a new Abaddon post soon (took the old one down as I was displeased with it).

Hey there Alex, it's good to see you again mate. I'm sorry to hear things have been rough for you recently, but obviously I understand when things go a bit pear-shaped, and that IRL always comes first. I've got something planned at the moment (as you may have guessed if you read my latest post heh), so there should be a way of involving you, although i'll need to pm you to etch out the details etc.

First off i'm sorry it has taken me this long to get around to this. I'm goin to withdraw my chara for the time being due to lack of time. I know this is a inconvenience and a headache but its not fair that i make anyone wait so long for posts. On the up side i'm part of the way thru this whole ordeal i have one certification down two more to go. Hopefully i will be able to return before to long and be able to dedicate more of my time to role playing. Once again i am truly sorry for the inconvenience and hope that when i come back i will still be welcomed to play. And as for the current issue in darkbane if you want to play out the battle and auto that is fine. Just please no killing her and no removal of limbs and such. Other than that my only other request is that she not be ashamed to show her face in darkbane as a result of the end result of the battle. Hope everyone is doin well and see ya all soon.
