Shadow has done it again by reading from his father's spell book and bringing the destruction of the family. During the destruction a black hole was formed and sucked the family back to Shadow Mountain. Trinity watched those that she ruled over die before her. While Rinoa was feeling the great pain that they were feeling, worst coming from the children she would not save. Now they are living upon Shadow Mountain to help rebuild their lives and keep the family alive and growing.
Upon their return to the mountian there was a man, Mordred Damien, that had come to call the ruins of the castle home. For he was putting space between him and his family. For there was an evil fate upon the men of their family if a mate was not found in a certian period of time.
Shortly after returnig to the mountain Shadow had taken and consumed the life energies of three of the males of the family. Only shortly after taking the life of Rinoa's only child. This brought great anger to her and the great dislike of the male species. The leadership of the clan has been put in the hands of Trinity.
Up to now Trinity and Shadow have been fighting over the care of the family. Only thing that they have agreed on is that no one will harm any member of the family. Yet Shadow is fighting with those that he calls family. The fight has been pretty much between Trinity and Shadow til just a few moments. Rinoa had put herself in a crystal like shell to ward off the great pain of the land caused by Shadow. Due to being so close to the base of the pain it had gotten to much that she broke the shell about her. So she has now joined Trinity in the fight for the protection of the family.

Pair of dark and loving eyes looked down on Devanshire as it was warmed by the sun. It had been sometime since she had visited the people in town. No time better then the present to see how everyone was, especially the kids. Rinoa looked to each kid as her own even thou none of them were.
As she took a step of the edge there was a cloud to catch her. Slowly it brought her down on the edge of town. She did not care to share with them just what she was. Rinoa liked them looking to her as one of them not one with special abilities
Rinoa pulled back the hood of her cloak so to feel the warmth of the sun fully. Other then the crunch under her feet she gave no sound of her approach on the town. She could her the songs from the varies birds that lived in the trees. Quietly tip toed out so to surprise the kids, which a great joy to her. A girl let out a scream of joy as her bright blue eyes laid rest upon Rinoa. She leaned over as the child ran over to her and lifted her up in the air. Carefully she spun the girl around in the air, getting a big smile back in return. Rinoa put the girl down on the ground then brushed back the girl's hair. No more had she finished moving the hair was she attacked by the others. She had the children move back so to get rid of the cloak. As she brought it around, tossed it on a tree branch so to keep it clean.
Rinoa enjoyed playing with the children, hoping to have more of her own. Til then the towns children filled that spot just fine. She would stay to play with the children before looking on the others of the town. Rinoa lost herself among the children forgetting just how old she was. Guess that is why she loved them the most. She smiled up on them while standing ther out of breath from the game of tag they had played.
"It is time for me to see just how your families are doing. I shall come play more if time lets me tell then have fun and remeber I love you."
Rinoa grabbed the cloak off the tree branch and wrapped it back around her. She glanced behind waving at the children as she left, they begging her to stay there.
She stopped at the grainery to see how the crops have been doing. "Good day Fredrick how have the crops been doign this year so far."
"They have been doing well thou we could use a bit more rain." Fredrick spoke "It seems that we will make out well not loose as much as the year before."
"That is great she'll pray to the godess that she bring the rain that you need." Rinoa waved and was on the way to check on others.
She came upon one of the ship owners going farther into town. "Pleasant day isn't it Geoff. How is the fishing going for you and the men?"
"We have been getting enough to feed everyone." Geoff said "But it seems that we havebeen needing to go out more then normal. " He shoke his head showing disappointment.
Rinoa knew that with them having to go out more ment less time with their families. That was not only bad for the men but their wives or girlfriends.

There was no more rest to be had. The night had slipped her by and daylight had crept into the cave she called her sanctuary. The bitterness of the Shadow Dragons fall was remembered only in the wounds that still mended after the bitter fall out with Sadow and his insane claims to the throne of the clan. Since that time she had rarely removed herself from the form of either the saphire Tygress or the saphire Soul Dragon. A new home had ment new friends, but new foes as well, and though Rinoa had seemed to adjust well, she herself was still very warry.
She rolled from her side and stretched, chizzled saphire claws extending from the toes of her massive paws, scratching across the rock floor. She shook herself, ridding the remainder of sleep from her as she made her way from the dark hole that concealed her. As she flopped down upon the cliffs edge she watched Rinoa return to the valley floor. Ice blue orbs watched as the woman she concidered her sister played with the children of the neighboring town. She knew the loss that was felt for she too had lost. Within them had once resided the resurrection of the Shadow Dragons, but they were quickly dashed with their childrens deaths.
Long had she wished for Rinoa to smile so truely and it was almost enough to erase the horrors of their past. As Rinoa played with the children she lowered her head letting the rough surface of her tongue drag over the deep blue and black fur of her right forpaw which was stained ever so slightly with the hue of a deep royal purple.
Her paw was stained with blood, evidence of a kill she'd made the previous night. On occasion, when the settings were just right, she would slink down into the town, more or less to investigate and see just what the towns people were about. It was during one of her many outings that she'd heard the fishermen talking about the need to have to go out more frequently for food. She was unsure of what drove her to it, but last night she'd actuialy decided to see what would happen if she were to help out the struggling town so she decided to go into the depths of the forest to hunt. Because of her size, she was able to bring in duel kills instead of one that her smaller cousin breeds would be able to carry.
She'd found the butchers shop easily enough and deposited the large carcas' upon his door step before retreating back to the mountians for a well deserved nap and a bit of feasting of her own. Which brings us to her current lounging and contimplative state. She continued looking at her paws seeing that no ammount of licking was going to get them clean which means that it would intail a trip to the nearby stream. With a gruff sigh trilled from compressing lungs she lumbered lazily down the mountian face and vanished into the thick brush.
Her ears flicked back and forth as she made her way towards the sounds of trickling water and within minutes she found herself standing upon the muddy banks. The heat of the sun had warmed her past her level of comfort and she all too happily flopped into the water feeling the instant relief. She lowered her head, lapping up some of the crisp water before resting it upon a nearby rock that protruded from the running water. Peace, perhaps they had finaly found theirs. She could only hope.

When Morderd could not be found in the castle that the Shadow Dragons lived he was in the village helping out where he could. This fine morning he was helping the stable owner out after being kicked by a horse the day before. Seemed that the ladies liked to watch him work, he did so shirtless so not to over heat.
Taking a pause to watch Rinoa walk by, surely she was looking in the people. He knew that she and Trinity had gone through a hard time and was still recovering. If there was something to make the days easier he tried to see that it was done. Along with give them their space so to recover.
Mordred gave the ladies a smile as he got back to cleaning out the stables. He was learning to over come the change that came during the battle. Some how during it the power in the air had changed him, as if the one he had been going through was not enough. When he felt the time was right he would talk to the ladies about it.
Slight smile crossed his lips knowing that Trinity had joined the living. He liked the ability to check on them without seeing them. But he needed to take time and and get to know what abilities he had. Only one that he had and understood was his thirst for blood.
-
As she walked by the stables she felt eyes on her but never turned to see who it was. She moved along dogs bounding before her barking an dplaying with each other. The butcher ran up to her joy on his face and talking quickly. Rinoa placed a hand upon him as she looked to him.
"Calm down and take a breath Rico, what is it?"
"When I went to bed last lnight all was good and clean. Then I got up and opened my door to let people in. There before the door was a dead animal, it had not been there to long."
Rinoa smiled knowing that it would help the village out greatly. Thoughts of who it came from crossed her mind. She sent out a prayer of thanks to those that she felt it came from. But she felt the one that did it lived with her and had not shown face in days.
"That is great now the men do not have to go out as much to fish. Go enjoy the blessing that the gods and godesses have given you."
Rico went back to his butcher shop as she continued farther into the village. Rinoa gave a quick look up where the castle sat upon the mountain. As she turned her head back around a pregnant lady crossed in front of her. It was as if the wind had been knocked out of her, tears started to form in her eyes. She jsut wanted to fly out of there and not return. But she would not scare the people not abandon them. Her eyes came up and saw Mordred working in the stables. Instead she would have him saddle a horse for her. That way she could still get away but not scare or leave them.
Rinoa ran to the stables and leaned agaisnt one of the fences looking to him. "Mordred if you could please saddle me a horse, I need to get aay from here for a bit."

A strange breeze drifted over the top of her head as she rested her head upon the rock within the stream. Lifting her head she looked up through the t ree tops, feeling relaxed and at peace. She smiled her rough smile before settling back into the water. The chill was refreshing and helped to awaken her mind and her ice blue orbs soon caught sight of a fish swimming downstream towards her. With a flick of her head her maw was soon plunged into the water and when she arose her prize was floundering between her powerful jaws, small trickles of blood shimmering against the newly dry scales.
Her upper lip was pressed up as her jaws tightened, her eyes squinting with the fold of flesh. When movement ceased she rested it where her head once rested as she proceeded to eat. Her meal was soon interrupted as she felt a sharp pain through her sences. Distress, loss...'Oh no..' she thought as she pressed up from the water. Streams of it ran from her back to her underbelly, pulling down the fine saphire strands, flattening them against her sides, legs and neck, revealing the tone of the muscles that rested benieth. As she stood she heard the sounds of scampering of something small and as she looked down she saw a small animal take what was left of her fish. She chuckled inwardly before spacing her paws and shaking what water remained in her fur.
She then lept from the center of the stream and onto the bank opposite of where she had entered and shook the water from her paws before heading off towards the town. She wanted to make sure that Rinoa was alright, especialy with as distressed as she felt. Leaping over a fallen log she could see one of the bordering fences come into view so she ducked into the shadows. Her fur slowly began to fall from her body as if she were shedding but as it happened she began taking on a more human appearance. Once in that form she stood fully errect, forest green hair cascading down her back, their ends brushing the backs of her knees. She was clad in a black jumper cuffed at the wrists, the legs dangling over knee high black boots. Around her shoulders was fastened a black ankle length cloak, the hood drawn about her shoulders though she soon took hold of it and drew it over her head, hiding herself in shadows.
Emerging on the edges of the trees she leaned against one, her arms folded across her chest as she watched farmers plowing their fields. They looked overly dusty and she wondered when it had rained last, but she also knew that Rinoa would not let them go without. She had taken to these people far quicker than she had thought, and much quicker than she herself had, for she had only seen them from the safety of the shadows. Her watche was cut short as she felt a tug upon her cloak and her emerald gaze shifted downward only to see a young child staring back up at her. "Hello there." she said quietly. "What are you doing so far from home?"
The child merely waved as she shoved another bite of apple into her mouth. "What you doin' in the forest?" she asked, her cheeks puffed out with fruit.
Tilting her head, she smiled and ruffed the childs hair. "I'm just traveling through." she said with a smile. The child was about to say something when her mother called her back to the yard and she turned around and dissapeared into the shadows to watch the rest of the town.

He looked up from what he was doing looking to Rinoa. Mordred leaned the pitch fork against the wall and walked over to Rinoa. Something had upset her and could see it in her eyes. Resting his hands on the fence between them. He took one and gently touching the side of her face.
"I shall saddle my horse for just don't ride to far off. After all we all have been through alot."
Mordred turned and went to the stable where Dusk stood nibbling at the hay. Grabbing a blanket he laid it over his back, placing the saddle on top of it. Lifting his head Mordred out the bit in his mouth tossing the reins over his neck. Slowly he lead Dusk out the stable to Rinoa, staying there is she needed help up.
-
Small smile crossed her lips feeling his hand upon the side of her face. The battle within the family had made him the only male she let touch her. Rinoa looked to him as she heard his steps move away from her. Without looking she could see that change of expression on the ladies faces. They all had hoped to catch Mordred's eye and possibly feel his hands on their body. She knew him to give them a show time to time but that seemed to end there. Maybe a tavern wench wold get to sit upon his lap as he conversed and drank.
Rinoa watched him bring his horse around to her, welcoming his help up. One leg went over as the other stayed on that side, grabbing the reins as she settled. While she looked to him she reached out and touched his cheek.
Gently she tapped Dusk in the ribs bringig him to move slowly across the road towards the woods. Once free of other people around her she jabbed him once more bringing him to a gallop. Rinoa sat up taller feeling the wind in her hair.
The cool wind sent the feelings away so that she could have a clear head again. They raced up a hill that looked over the water bringing joy to her. being away form other gave her the feel of being the only one alive, a chance for her to go over thoughts. Up another piece of hill, she brought Dusk to the edge and stopped, taking a moment to look over the vast body of water.
Rinoa's big wonder was of the survival of the family, being that the only real male of the family was Sadow. And none had seen him since the battle. She needed to find Trin and speak to her about making Mordred blood family. They needed a male that would help with the survival of the family. That could wait til tonight when hopefully she would show up.
