Marius sat in his chambers, thumbs twirling over the other while he sat in contemplation. The other nights events had been interesting with the wolves and vampire hunters, a lot more going on in these parts than what there usually was. He sat there in the flicker of a single candlelight, glancing over the pages of a book full of magic and wonder. Well not much and not a whole lot of magic, but interesting enough to find a way out of this dull world. A vampire needed stimulation and Carpathia had become overrun with wolves, gypsies and vampire hunters. There didn't seem to be any shortage of wolves, why not hunt those fuckers for awhile and give his ass a break.

Wishful thinking he knew, one day in a better world maybe. Inactivity was making him get a little porky about the waist. He knew this but the tightening belt, how he was getting porky was beyond him, all he had been eating lately were rats. There was no on worth biting, not even by a long shot. Even the book in front of him would have tasted better than a rat. Tree bark didn't appeal to him though. He pondered about strolling in the night, but he knew no beautiful maidens would happenstance by his way, a hairy, drooling wolf, but no lovely wenches to bite and suckle on.

He yawned. The thought of a ball did somehow appeal to the moment, but who was there to invite? Dusty old Methuselahs  and their toxic ghoulish blood dolls being dragged along by chains? The gentry of the court was no longer as it had been. There was no taste, no sex appeal, not a thing even remotely sexy about the female vampires as of late. No wonder most of the elders settled for pretty boys in pretty clothes. Boys did not appeal to his taste either. Maybe he would someday return to Talusthrone, perhaps there was more there going on than the howling mountains of Carpathia? Marius sighed, there was little else for him to do.

[align=justify:af73bdbc2c]She been tracking him down for nights ever since the incident with the wolves. She had no interest in killing wolves unless they got in her way. It had not been wolves that killed her family, it had been those bloodsucking bats. Outside the mansion set into the rocks of the mountain. She didn't know how many of the leeches were inside, thought it best to scape the place for a few nights, maybe strike in the heat of the day when they were at their weakest. Hit them with the daylight, the weapon god intended for them all,to burn under his   fiery wrath. Like the days of old. Staked out in the morning sun, to slowly burn before bursting into flames.

"Bastards deserve to die" spoken through clenched teeth, so tight her jawline popped out, cheeks tensing to strain beneath the skin. Knuckles tightening around the hilt of her sword. Fighting every urge she had to not rush in there right now and decapitate them all. Do the world a favor while they starved. It was the best punishment for a vampire, other than having their fangs pulled out. Starvation was an interesting thing to watch as their bodies shrunk into the corpses they were, nothing beautiful to enchant. Not that she thought them beautiful, not at all. A sexually transmitted disease was all they were. Like fleas.

Resting her back against a large rock, using the cover of the trees and surrounding structure to hide herself from protection. Subterfuge always one of her greatest skills, to blend into her surroundings as if she were never there. Eyes looking up to the window where a soft light flickered. She knew he was up there, hiding, just like all of his kind did.
