Thorlan detected the presence of yet another being almost immediatly causing him to stumble for a moment as he was distracted from helping Kalamos to the woman. Switching to his heat vision he looked into the shadows where the man had appeared, narrowing his eyes slightly and yet cautious, unsure whether or not he was friend or foe. He ignored the man at first, helping Kalamos to the fallen women as the newcomer spoke.

He let go of his hold of Kalamos and turned to face the man, his eyes narrowing further at his words, confirming that he had no friendly intentions here. Hundreds of thoughts flashed through the drow's mind, most concerning previous fights and how he might compare this man to others. He shook his head, knowing better than that. No two opponents were the same. Making no move at drawing his blade or any other sort of aggression he simply stared at the man for quite some time, "No fun has passed here...who I am is none of your concern, and what has happened to Kalamos is also not of your business."

He dared not turn his back on the man, instead remaining in his indifferent pose, always ready yet showing no signs of engagement.

Kal's eyes went very wide as heard Cyan's voice break the air. Once next to star, he scrambled for the blood vial. Crawling close enough to feed Star the contents of the put him right beside her, he whispered to her, "This man is no man, he is dangerous. Do not let the shadows take you." He opened the vial and presented it to her as he lay beside her, "Here. Regain your strength." Eyes cast to Thorlan and Cyan, immediately he called out, "Don't let anything that reaks of his power touch you." He cast his eyes to his gear, which was laid behind Cyan. He cursed misfortune, being so far from his armor. His weapon was still in the scabbard stabbed into the ground near Thorlan. He struck the ground with his hands, and began to force himself to his feet. Slowly the long hair man stood, without his armor, without his weapon. Landing his left knee on the ground he drew deep breaths. The pressure he felt in his body was enormous, strain to move was incredible. One knee became two feet as his gaze met Cyan's own; His human height allowed him to view Cyan over Thorlan's gaze.

He leaned on a tree with arm, and watched. He felt the burning of his power as he began to stir it. The pain it caused him, he poised his energy within himself. If he was forced to call upon it, it would undoubtedly do great harm to his own body. The power within him was like a maelstrom of white fire, compressed into one coherent spell. All three of them would no doubt feel the tension of the power being pulled together within Kalamos. The ground at his feet began to wither and die and a faint discoloration of his eyes and flesh began to show. He continued drawing deep breaths. Star's blood at the ground by his feet did not lose the life force in it. It would not kill her, or Thorlan. The raw hostility being suppressed was for one person only.

The power within him was leaking out in waves of light; Light that flowed to his sword, and respectively, to his armor. The very same hostile power Star felt in the white fire was present; Power Thorlan had never seen before. The very power that Cyan had felt destroy his tendrils the time he tried to possess Kalamos was seething underneath these leaks of power. It was an outward pulse being released from Kalamos' own body that was restrained from actually being released. Tears of suppressed pain began to well in Kal's eyes as the energy gathered. He knew that if he let this power go, he would throw his life away. He knew Thorlan and Cyan did not know this. [Draft Ripple]

Her body lay upon the breathing land like a rag doll, deep purple blood pooled all around her and her wolf. She could hear someone's voice in the background. She's heard this voice before. Right before the voice that called all evil to their aid. ((look back at Atra's thread when Corvax called out. Being Star's demon nature, she could hear it but ignored it because she doesn't know who they were)) She turned her head, realized that the sun was never going to break through
onto this land. The land shifted under the weight of someone kneeling by her side: Kal.

Eyes looked upon his figure, handsome defeated man. Eyes danced upon his muscles, across his cheek, into his eyes. Teal watched him closely as digits moved frantically to the vial near her fallen body, uncorking it. His other hand had moved behind her head to lift it up so that he may feed it to her. She relished in his touch pulling through her hair, touching her neck; She watched the bottle shake as he brought it to her lips. Yes.... life, warm crimson rushed into her mouth, played on her tongue and slid down her throat. She looked up to Kal, mouthful after mouthful until no more was left. He was speaking to her about this new being. Deep voice molesting her ears, teasing her with each syllable he spoke. She reached for his hand and held it briefly, "Thank you," eyes looked into his, sad smile crossed her lips, "I've missed you..."

And with that he stood up, protecting her body. She felt the land pulsate under her, absorbing her rare blood into itself, feeding itself, preparing itself for the action that was surely to be had; maybe even preparing itself to be raped by this new arrogant being. The blood had started to flow through her body, she felt warmer, started to regain her strength. The
land was now breathing under her, producing an inky shadow like substance and folding over her flesh, moving itself through her open wounds; it twisted around her muscles and bones, each giving its strength back and fixing the broken bones. As the black liquid moved out of her wounds, the flesh threaded together and sewed shut, leaving no scar behind. Star sat up slowly, hands feeling her body, where the wounds should be. A hand placed upon the living ground, "Thank you..."

Hand against the ground, she pushed herself to both knees, two hands on the ground pushed herself forward, knees lifting off the ground, feet under her then coming to a full stance. The energy in the area had changed, she knew it was Kal's energy was distending across the land. She reached down and picked her cloak up, put it around her shoulders, hood up over her head; she removed the white shirt makeshift bandage from her waist and dropped it to the ground, which the land had quickly absorbed the blood from the white material leaving it clean. Small steps towards Kal. She knew this energy, and although she was thankful of knowing its nature she wish she didn't. She let her hand touch his arm. "It's okay now..."

She noted he was without armor. Eyes shifted to Nall, a simple nod is all she needed. Hand to her chest, thoughts to the land itself. Inky substance began to form under her feet, "L'ombra afferra." The shadows began to form all around her and then dip deep down under the surface and into the tent; ink came up from the ground, rounded itself around the magical pieces and came from the tent and moved to Kalamos. Each piece branched off dressing him in his armor, the ink moving around like delicate fingers, clasping and fastening everything. Another piece had broken off and moved to his sword, between Thorlan and Cyan, and formed around the hilt of the blade, bringing it back to Kal. After all was done, armor on and sword in his hand, the ink would dissipate. Star stood next to her love much like she always did, no battle stance, no weapon drawn, just her standing next to her traveling companion.

He watched as the dark skinned man helped Kalamos from the ground and aided him in reaching the winged girl’s form, still limp and breathing as faintly as when he had arrived only moments before. He can tell she is breathing by the subtle shifts in her body that changes the shape and area covered by her shadow with each breath. It’s the same for the dark skinned warrior when he first notices is Cyan’s presence, as Cyan detects the movement of the shadows on his head as he first notices a new presence and then searches for it for a moment, clearly using some technique or ability to seek out Cyan. A small smirk crawls across his face as he listens to what the man says, when he states it’s none of Cyan’s business what has happened to Kal, or who the man himself is.  He then listens to what Kalamos says to the girl, though it’s really not much more then whispering, except at the end when Kal looks toward Cyan and the other man between himself and the girl and states that they should not let anything that reeks of Cyan’s power touch them. To Cyan it would seem Kal had also whispered warnings to the woman when he spoke to her at first, warned her of something that applied only to her, perhaps.

Cyan notes this, and his smirk widens to a smile when Kal rises to his feet by his own will and strength after apparently giving the woman some sort of potion or elixir. “Touching. You’re rejuvenated by my simple appearance. I was worried I’d lose you.” he chuckles after saying that, “I can feel that power which intrigues me flowing through you, making you stronger. Making you focused.” is what he adds, falling silent for a moment to watch the show. That same white light from before began to emanate from the form of Kalamos, as well as from something from behind Cyan. With a thought, he could deduce where the source was from the deepening of the darkness on everything around the spot. There, he knew where it was, though since the light is shining as brightly as the light from Kalamos himself is, it eliminates any of the darkness that would be facing it and instead only deepens the shadows on the far side of any objects in the immediate vicinity. In the past, when Cyan had first tried to take control of Kalamos, this would have prevented him from seeing just what it is that is casting such light. However, these days, things are different, for Cyan has total mastery over himself, and since has such a mastery over darkness he is also an equal  master of light, truly akin to a deity or a god of both darkness and light. Because of that fact, he simply has to concentrate only slightly more and he can see from the light that is being cast by an object on the ground.

Not even an instant after spotting the item, he knows what it is; Kal’s armor. With that knowledge, his momentary search is over as he brings his dominant attention back to what his eyes see, leaving what his essence see’s  to lie dormant, though still like a thought in the back of his mind, something he could tell if there were any changes about the armor. As he looks towards Kalamos, he notices not far in front of him that Kalamos’ sword is also emanating light, and its then that Cyan notices the woman rise to her feet behind Kal and cloak herself as her wings seemingly faded away. His attentions go once more to the sword laying before him as it starts to sink into the ground beneath it, being engulfed by an inky black substance that appears to be very similar to one of his own techniques as the black pool pulls the blade through a portal, and since he was focused momentarily on the sword, he failed to notice the same thing as it happened to the armor in the tent behind him in a clearing in the trees. He can detect the girl’s life force and energy in the black substance as it reforms Kal’s weapon and armor onto his body. However, Cyan could also detect something much more powerful, something that was found everywhere in this realm; Atra’s presence. So, this girl is strengthened from simply being in Naethryn.  I’ll have to remember that…It could be of use.. he thinks to himself as he waits for one or all three of them to attack, only to be disappointed when they don’t. Enough wasting time...I might as well.. passes through his mind as he decides to delve just a little deeper into the massive power at his disposal.

The ground itself begins to turn pitch black at first only around his feet, but after a moment the three would be able to see as the air itself around Cyan’s form as it began to be filled with an increasing amount of dark particles that seemed to flow through the air with ease. However, the darkness wasn’t flowing through the air, it was  replacing the air, and it was expanding in all directions, as the leaves above hi, on the trees and even all the leaves and grass on the ground began to turn black. A moment later, Cyan was hidden from their view, as his body was enshrouded in a growing black cloud that seemed to reach out to each of them, and to each of them it would call out in a lamenting dirge about their past misdeeds, able to do this because the voices were each formed from the souls of Cyan’s past victims, and though Cyan himself could not look so easily into their inner darkness and sorrow, the spirits could detect and in fact feed off of the mere presence of any guilt, or any change in each of their emotional states within them. If any among them had ever done anything they regretted in their life, they would surely be forced to think of it if they could hear the souls’ voices calling out to them, calling out with different messages to each individual. If they had no guilt, and had no regret, then all they would hear would simply be incoherent noise that would take a greater level of concentration to understand, and if such was the case than the cries of the souls were simply intended to distract each of them from the fact that the darkness around Cyan was growing, and at a pace faster then at first. It’s rate of increase in all directions had doubled, and was increasing with every inch of earth consumed, with every breath of air replaced.

The closer the sphere of darkness got to them, the quieter the voices would get, and if they did as they were intended to, as they grew more and more quiet then hopefully the three of them standing before him would simply listen to the words of the dead more with more focus, and ignore the approach of the darkness.  Though there is absolutely no light within the sphere of darkness spreading ever further around Cyan’s form, he can see each of them as clearly as if it were day, and he also remembers that the dark skinned warrior likely has some ability which allows him to see through darkness, and he assumes that Kalamos has an ability which would allow him the same luxury. As the sphere moves closer to the three of them, it will shrink down on them once it reaches them, consuming all light and covering them in darkness. Though the darkness is replacing the air, it is only replacing the air of this place with the air that one would breathe from the Plane of Darkness, possessing a much more foul and suffocating taste and smell when breathed in, though it is still oxygen. The only one that Cyan believes is likely not to be affected by the darkness is Kalamos, just because of the light emanating from his gear. Cyan remembers what it did to his manifested shadow wraith that he used to try and possess Kal, and he also recalls that his own strength on the physical plane at the time was less then what it is now, much less in fact.

As a result of the mysterious light cast by Kalamos’ gear, once the darkness reaches his form it likely wont be as complete, and as a result of that Kalamos’ transfer into the plane of darkness wont be as complete as the other two. In essence, all that the sphere around Cyan’s form is, is a portal to the plane of darkness, though it isn’t really transporting them to the plane of darkness, it is instead bringing a small portion of the plane of darkness to the material world, like another layer of existence that is suddenly perceivable and real, connecting them all to the plane of shadows and separating them from the land of Naethryn. However, because of the light coming from Kalamos, the darkness around him will likely be a fair distance from touching him in all directions, at least several inches away. Then again, if Kalamos has anything in his heart that the tormented souls calling out to them all would feed off of, then his light might possibly begin to fade. If Kalamos is indeed affected., he might begin to lose faith in himself, but such things as his current strength of willpower are yet to be seen. As of yet, Cyan isn’t doing any sort of attack, merely deepening his connection to his power, though to any with evil intentions or evil roots the black might as well be considered an attack, since its an extremely strong attempt to call that inner evil to the surface, to aid Cyan and overtake the said being’s mind and body. As the darkness moves ever closer to the three of them, Cyan simply waits as he watches the three before him with interest.

His ability to look through the darkness did not stop him from noticing it's approach, though he made no move to move away from it, knowing well enough that running from it would only delay entering it. His mind began to wander away from the fight, being brought to his days in the underdark, recalling those that he killed in cold blood for the simple fact that they might be his enemy, because he was ordered to kill them by his matron mother. He shook his head of the thoughts, focusing through the darkness before him, coughing slightly as he adjusted to the air that he now breathed. His eyes narrowed and he focused through to the darkness to find Kalamos and the vampire he had fought earlier before taking his search for the bringer of this darkness.

Once more his mind wandered, back to his escape from the drow cities and the human’s he killed for their misunderstandings, his own misunderstandings. It was with this memory that he recognized the pattern, his mind falling back to a memory of his fight with the necromancer in which souls had called upon his past memories to distract him from the fight. Fighting for focus once more he searched the darkness for Cyan, ignoring the chatter from the souls that tried to bring him back to his past.

“You hold nothing over me…” he muttered, more to himself than to the newcomer as he took hold of the hilt of his blade, readying himself for an attack. Fighting in the underdark for so long the darkness was nothing new to him, nothing he wasn’t used to fighting in despite the fact that breathing came with such a foul taste.

She watched the newcomer closely. Every breath he took she noticed. Counted. Timed it. He wore a hood, hiding his true identity. She could hear a deep voice, dripping with black acid enter her mind, she nodded to what seemed like herself. This hooded man made a shift in the energy around them, the land was calling for midnight. She felt the black engulf the area around him. Mind concentrated to Kal What is this thing? but Kal showed no fear for it. Sidestepping towards him, she took his hand in hers and stood, fearless.

The sphere grew bigger. There was another disturbance as she felt Kal's blood pulsate through his veins under his flesh, something else in his energy besides the radiance he was emitting from his body. Eyes closed as she gathered strength from the land, from the sphere even. Waves of power from both light and dark started to trickle from her, breathe... the sphere would slow down immensly from touching her and Kal. Eyes opened, the drow was gone. Acid voice again telling her he'd be fine.

He heard them... The voices of the dead, they swarmed his mind. Their cries for mercy drowned him in a river of his own guilt. He made his heart sink to be reminded of the dying, he dropped his sword and hands began to reach for his head; He felt someone take him by his hand though, closing digits around his. Tears of pain, became tears of sadness. The power within him was still leaking out; something spike within his energy, his bodily power. He felt something in him snap and everything froze. He saw the two individuals by his side again; One moved to Star's side, one to Thorlan's. He felt incredible tension on himself as his felt himself pulled between them. He could see their lips moving, but no words came out. They were communicating to each other, and to him... but he couldn't hear them. The world unfroze to him as his awareness of that darkness came through. He embraced Star as he felt his power beginning to fade out. His body grew numb, the white power that was eminating from him lashed out to thorlan and Star, Circling them and wrapping them in an immolation that tore through the powers Cyan was calling forth.

Almost immediately they began to spread and eat at the world around Thorlan and Star. The tunnel of white fire that Cyan had percieved last time was beginning to form again. The very environment around this forming flame just seemed to die under its power. Losing all signs of life; Kal's face lost its light, and in that instant a flood of power erupted forth from his body washing over everything and permeating it with what was his power. Then something happened, something that was extraordinary in its own right. Within the fire, in their embrace from his body Star would be able to sense two spirits seperating within him and passing off into the nether. His armor and body seemed to vanish in the flash of light, leaving nothing of him behind. Kalamos felt nothing, he saw nothing. No heavenly gates awaited him, no dark afterlife; He was just alone, in twilight. If Cyan did not leave the area immediately, it was extremely likely he was a dead creature. There was nothing in the fire released, no secret power, no great transformation. All that was to be seen, to be observed was a dying man's final action and an empty spell wrought with power the likes of which only mortals could wield the very power to force their life force into a spell, to cast away everything necessary for survival in order to accomplish one thing. Kalamos savored his ultimate victory over Cyan, in the knowledge that what he has, Cyan can never gain. [Draft Wave]

Eyes were drawn to Kal, she could feel the fraction in his energy begin to grow, start to rip. Light embraced her, new being at her side. A hand pllaced upon her shoulder, gently, as if to say "All is well." She knew better as she watched water fall from the eyes of her world. She wanted more time... she had to have more time! Strong arms embraced her tightly, not a sound was made by him, only the pitter patter of tears flowing from his eyes onto her flesh. She held onto him, small arms grasping at the disappearing form. "No... no...." she could only repeat the word. A flare of light was made, eyes shut quickly as she dropped to her knees. Enchanted cloak covered her body. Nothing.... silence...

It was interupted by a gentle cough made by the drow. She didn't want to open her eyes, he wouldn't be there. Salty water began to cascade from her eyes, rolled off her cheek and dropped on the breathing ground, hydrating it. Hands balled into fists and pounded the ground once, making it curl its decaying flesh around ivory skin, moving around to absorb the shock and falling back to a dormant state. Head was shaking slowly, she heard no breathing from Kal, nothing to show physical sign of him still being there. Hand reached out, felt the ground where he should be, but it was all in vain. And yet... she could feel him all around her! Within her! He had to still be around! "Kal?"

Eyes opened slowly, tears blurring her vision. Delicate fingers wiped away liquid glass from her eyes. She looked around for Kal, but only saw the Drow that she had an encounter with. The nameless shadowed figure was no where to be seen. And Kal... was gone. Body began to convulse, trying to choke back cries, only to result in uncontrolable coughing and vomiting blood onto the ground. She could only think 'get your feed vile place...' as it soaked up the purple liquid. Reality slammed her in the face as she knew he was gone from this plane of existence. She raised her head to the sky and out of her came a cry of pain and sorrow, one that would echo through the land, one that would tell a tale of a love so profound and then taken away. Screams came from her throat, ones that dripped with a raping pain and the anger from hell's fire. They would continue until she began to cough again. Her body shook as she held herself, weeping. "I was supposed to have more time! You promised me more time!" she hated the world, "Is it a curse?! That is passed down? Love can never last! Its a lie... everyone that I have loved is gone in the end..." She cursed her bloodline, she cursed herself for falling in love again, she knew it would end this way. "An angel... dead... because a demon loved Him..."

Her body slumped to the floor and curled into a ball. Hair became tangled and dirty from the ground, wrapping itself around her and across the land. Nall made his way over to the torn body of Star. He had only seen her like this twice in her life before now... but now was worse then the other times. He watched her and could do nothing, not with the Drow standing by. Cold nose nudged against her, trying to comfort her, only to be pushed away. He sat, obediant to his owner. He was sad as well, he enjoyed Kal's company, hoped for something more between Star and him... but now he was helpless and devistated to see her like this. Again he tried to comfort her, again pushed away. "No... you've cursed us! It's your fault..." Again, cold nose against her. "Leave me be..." voice dropped to a whisper, "Father..."

Nall sat upright and allowed her to be alone, eyes watched the Drow.

Drifting in the afterlife that was his to be had, he began to ascertain the world around him and what he meant to it. All he could percieve was emptiness; He was in a colorless tastless pocket of void.  It brought naught but lonliness to him. To him, there was no true afterlife, for he never really lived, he was never his own person and he would never be. So the only place to him to be as he is; is trapped in this nameless place of sorrow. He could feel the dampness of power in the area, slowly his strength was fully returned, but he could not use it here. He felt he had all of himself once more, but that was not enough to grant him sovereign power over this world he seemed to be trapped in. His awareness began to widen as shackles formed around his arms and legs, and bound him down. He screamed as his freedom was stripped, amounting to nothing. Then a terrible feeling filled him, he felt his entirety shatter in a burning flame that split to two. Regaining consciousness in some pocket of passing later; He was aware he was in two halves, but only mildly, he no longer saw his own body, nor could he feel it. This trap had him totally paralyzed, he remained here even after he surrendered himself to the total lack of escape. Something in him held on to his other half, he couldn't explain it, but despite all the pull on himself, he would not break. He just remained, writhing and screaming in the agony that was his to be had in the terrible event occuring.

She lay on the ground, sprawled out, hair damp with tears. Her cries had quieted to a sniffle as she picked herself up to a sitting position. Teal eyes, blurred with liquid, turned to Nall, "I apologise... it's not your fault. I just...." Acid hated voice entered her head, You love him... he used the present tense because her love for Kal would never deminish. "I do..."

She pushed herself to her feet and started walking over to the tent. It was his throughout all his travels, their tent when they walked ayenee together. Then walk seemed like it took forever. Upon reaching the entrance, she turned to Thorlan, "Drow... when you have composed yourself, you are more then welcome to join me..." She forced a smile to the being, "Perhaps we can share tales of him... and you may ask anything of me. A possible friendship?" She entered the tent.

His scent was everywhere, she choked back her cries. Making her way over to the maps and book, she took a kneel and sighed. Hands pushed back hair from her face, then reached for the dusty rolls of paper. She pushed back his food and unrolled one of them. She traced her finger over his handwriting, through the paths they took together. It stopped when she reached a lone tree. She idly reached for an apple that laid on the floor of the tent, she picked it up, tossed it in the air like she say Kal do, and rubbed it on her shirt. Tilting her head she looked at it, gave a small shrug and then brought it to her mouth. Flawless white teeth bit into the red fruit, the juices ran from the corners of mouth. She proceeded to chew it slightly, the taste of ash engulfed her as she continued to chew. She made a face as she looked at the white flesh enwrapped with ruby skin. She didn't like the taste, wondered how Kal could eat such a thing.. She might as well have grabbed the remains from a fire and eaten that. She placed the dirty fruit down and went back to the tree.

This is where it happened. This was the place where she injested something Kal had given to her, much sweeter then the ash tasting fuit on the ground. Crimson life... so lovely. This was the day she gave her heart to him silently. This was the night he held her, calmed her, even in her demon form he loved her. She could still remember the way his fingers felt through her hair, the way his flesh felt on her lips, the taste and warmth of life entering her mouth. She tried to forget that she almost killed him that night. She was an awful being, and she loved an angel. She stared at the dusty paper...

Nall padded his way over to the Drow and nudged him, trying to get a response from the ebony skinned one. He left his side and to Star's back. He sat and watched her closely, although distracted by the book that was calling her name. She would notice it soon, he knew she would. Years she spent with her, and she told not a soul their secret. He wanted Kal to know, but they never had the chance. Laying his massive body behind her, furn touched against her, head upon her knee. Tongue came out slowly and lapped her hand. She idly petted him, "I love you too... Thank you for not leaving me, after you found me."

just when he finally thought he had gotten his bearing and was ready to defend against whatever it was that was being sent at him everything changed again. A flash of light erupted past him, forcing him to close and block his eyes for the moment, within the flash he could feel Kal's power, but something was different...within the flash, he felt more than his power, he felt the man's presense. Immediatly he knew something was wrong and that the fight was over. The enemy, if still around would have no hope against such an attack and Kal...

Thorlan spun back to where Kalamos had been standing with the vampire in time to see her drop to her knees. He took a few steps forward but stopped as she let out a cry, a cry that moved through him and told him far more than he had known before. His eyes averted to the ground, his best friend had sacrificed himself, his partner...He cursed under his breath and began to move forward once again, stopping a second time as she began to speak, confirming that which he had thought to have learned.

He waited, watching her as she slumped to the ground, waiting until she was finished and looking to the wolf beside her. He sighed and nodded to the wolf as he came forward once more, kneeling to the earth beside her, "There are no curses, only circumstance..." he muttered before looking more directly at her, "He is not gone because you loved him, but because he loved you..." He entended a hand of friendship to her, offering to help her up.  "Because he could not....no...would not, see his friends lost."

((sorry Thorlan, didn't know you were posting at the same time... so I'm just guessing he'd follow her into the tent))
(((Edit: first paragraph added because I didn't read Thorlan's post thoroughly)))

She was kneeling in the tent, almost ignoring the Drow. Thoughts went back to the words he said to her by where Kal had left her. 'He didn't die because you loved him... but rather because he loved you...' What a cruel thing to say to someone. It was fine if she were to love him, but was not allowed to be loved in return? Blood began to rush to her cheeks, growing hot with a feverish anger towards the ebony being. She had half a mind to fight this man, but she knew better. She was drained of strength and mindset from the loss of her love. That sentence would burn her ears though... everyone she has loved and if those individuals loved her, they were doomed. She was to never feel the splendor of love. She muttered under her breath, "Angry Drow... says hated words to me. Awful truth that he spoke... dirty words..."
As she knelt there, she could hear the Drow enter the tent. She picked up the bitten fruit and held it up to him, offering it. "You probably need to eat, it was Kal's.... but I wouldn't recommend eating it. Tastes like ash..." He would more then likely take it out of a nice gesture, whether he ate it or not, was up to him. "There is water around here as well. My canteens or his." Eyes turned to the ebony skinned one, hand pointing to the map sprawled out on the floor, "This is where we travelled. He was constantly making a map of where we went. I suppose it was to find home..." She laughed slightly to herself, thinking that she should have had one made so she could find home... his arms. "Your name is Thorlan, correct? My name is Zo..." Teeth clamped down gently on her hand to stop her, "Star. Just Star. That's what everyone calls me. It's what Kal would call me. And my wolf? His name is Nall."

She reached for the book that Kal always carried with him. Hands grabbed the worn leatherbound book and placed it in front of her. "I want this... because it's him." Fingers traced the binding before opening it. "I know your name from this book. I've read it before..." This would come as a shock to the Drow, for Kal never let anyone near it. And if they were to open it, it was unreadable. It was enchanted, but she dug herself a hole in his heart and was allowed to read it.

The pages seemed to turn on their own to the last pages, they were blank and began to fill in an unreadable language, but made sense to her. She read it hungerly as it came to be. Tears filled her eyes once more, having to relive the memory of Kal's death. It was documenting it... and something more. Much more. It would tell a tale of how Kal came to be, and what he was... what radiance was to her in more depth. And so much more! She wiped the tears away and looked up to Thorlan. "Would you like to see him again?" It wouldn't matter what his answer was, because it was her will and her want.

Before entering the tent he heard her words and shook his head as he realized that she had taken them a far different way than he had meant them. It wouldn't matter, she wouldn't listen to what he had to say without her own interrpretation of it anyhow.

Finally he moved into the tent, almost immediatly greeted by the bitten fruit being offered to him. He took it and looked at it for a moment, simply holding it at his side for the time being as she told him what it tasted like he chuckled lightly, though it was cut short as he realized that she would see little humor in any of it. As she pointed to the maps he followed the direction standing over them as she spoke, remembering each location that he had been in with his fallen friend. Remembering every fight they had been in at one anothers side, how Kalamos would always feel regret at the loss of every life.

He was pulled from his thoughts as she spoke his name, causing him once more to spin quickly in her direction. She had known his name when they first met, when she attacked him.  "How.." he muttered, though he never got to ask the question as she continued to speak, introducing herself and the animal. Moving away from the maps he came back to where she was kneeling over the book, a book he had seen Kalamos with at almost every meeting.

"I have no intentions of taking any of his belongings. They are not mine to take." He smiled slightly as he watched her read the book with such heart, words that he himself could in no way understand. When she looked up again he was surprised by her question, though he realized after a moment that it should have been expected, "To see him again..." he thought for a moment and nodded, "Would be an honor."

She smirked as Thorlan answered her. She closed the book carefully, almost lovingly. She stood up slowly, Nall moving to allow her to do so. She brushed her hair from her face and with such perfect grace and speed she moved to the Drow's backside, moved his hair from his neck, hand holding his neck with care. Hot breath against ebony flesh as she spoke seductivly "Into the unescapable nightmare then, shall you go..." her lips grazed his neck with every word she said, gentle tiny fangs caressing it...

She let out a soft chuckle as she stepped back away from him. "Joking, dear Drow. I've had Drow blood before and although it was sweet, it reminds me of someone." To be quite honest with herself, after having Kal's blood she wasn't sure if any other being's blood would satisfy her craving. Perhaps the devil's blood, or an arch angel's crimson life. "Sorry, lets get to the task at hand, shall we?"

She stepped out from the tent and to the land around them. Eyes looked up and down the barren land, small hand held to her side for Nall. Soft fur brushed up against flesh, digits intertwined warm snow. Feet moved across the ground, away from the tent. Deep breath in, breathe out. She tried to remember how long it had been since she used Kal's power, she has had the knowledge to use it for years. He had taught her, gifted the power to her like he gave her life and a will to live. "Okay Father... help me..." She called back to Thorlan "Protect us..."

She mind cut off all communication to Thorlan, he would fade away into the background in her mind. She and Nall would work together. Minds both gathered the visions of the dark armored knight and the light one... Nall would take control of calling the dark one, while Star would aim for the angelic one. They would call out to them, pleaing to them to listen. Her calls would ask to see Kal, her love. In front of her about 10ft stood 2 beings looking at her and the wolf... still she was concentrating trying to bring them more power to form.

Nall was concentrating, giving out a bit of his power to form the dark knight. Red marks began to form on his face, marking him in a tattooed mystery, the red glowing. Star was giving out a calmer energy, eyes glowing brightly. The beings would take more of a form, as to not be coloured vapor. Hand reached out, wolf head flung upwards and the beings moved further away, standing in front of Star and Nall and a good distance from one another... almost as if they were setting up for a joust.

Now came the hard part...

She looked deep within herself, moved the souls of her daughter and her mother aside. Reached further still and grabbed at the white light (radiance) within her. She could feel it seep into her veins and move throughout her whole body. Thorlan would at once notice the power and more then likely be confused by it, wondering how he was feeling Kal's power from her.

Power raced through her veins. Emerald hair began to lift from her back, her eyes never letting the white armored knight out of her sight. Nall stood beside her, tattooed swirls glowing red, white fur illuminating. In unisom Nall threw enormous head towards the right as Star waved her right hand towards the left.

The knights followed their actions, dark to Nall's and light to Star's. They had taken off in sprint towards one another. Star held out her left hand in front of her in a fist. She felt the radiance flow to her palm. Hand opened and from her came a beam of white light: radiance. It carved a path through the air to the line where the knights ran. Right before the knights would hit, the beam would hit...

Star turned and dropped to her knees, pulling the hood over her head. She watched the Drow's expression. She didn't want to look directly at the light, being a vampire she wasn't sure how it would react with her eyes. Nall's tattoos began to disappear, fur returning to normal. He sat next to Star, head rest upon her own.

The spell was cast, now they had to see if it worked.
