-Nall-
He leaned into the Drow's hand as it ran through his snowy fur. In fact he only allowed Kalamos and Star to pet him ever since they had left the Blades... cept of course for Star's most precious daughter, Little Rosie. He missed the affection from time to time. Kalamos was usually the one who pet him. He was about as comfortable standing next to Kal as Star was. But he left Star and Kal to reunite, the Drow would have to do. He looked up to Thorlan, icy blue eyes staring into red ones. He was trying to see into Thorlan's past, trying to read him. He knew that Thorlan, being an elf, always took kind to animals and a good hunt. He was stronger then he had thought on sight, then again he did fight along side of Kalamos. Wolf nudged into ebony hand more, enjoying the attention.
-Star-
The Lord spoke to Kal, saying how he was in good company. Both Star and Nall smirked on the inside; Star mostly. Here she stood in a dark demon armor, and yet she was still looked on as "good." How it tickled her insides thinking about it. And she is a vampire no less, one that could take out whole families in one feeding if she so chose to. She needs to feed none the less, she is a danger whether it be to beings or to the wildlife.
He asked why the land was destroyed, and Kal would surely not know the answer. She looked up at her love ((can you picture the heart shaped eyes, guys?)), she couldn't keep from smiling. Gentle hand reached up and grazed his cheek. She was memorizing his face again, he was always changing looks. For years they travelled as companions, and for years she hid her feelings; when she lost him, it drove her mad. She spent the rest of her time looking for him. She shook her head, ridding of the harsh memories. Demon or not, she loved Kalamos, this angelic being, they were an odd match but he completed her; it was as if she was created for him just like Pygmalion sculpted his love (but she supposed that perhaps Kalamos was created for her, knowing his orgin of creation).
She stood by his side. She was being obediant for once, following him instead of the usual interupting him and acting too fast. As she stood there, intoxicated by his presence, she felt as though 'this is how' Nall must feel: to be a perfect statue next to the one they care for and to follow them even if it meant death (although Kal would sacrifice himself over and over again before harm would to ever come to her).
And finally it came. Warm strong arms embraced her body and she all too quickly wrapped her arms around him. She took in his scent, his warmth, his love. This was heaven, being in his embrace. Hell could overtake this realm band it wouldn't matter to her right now, she had Him.
The embrace broke (he apologized for cutting off conversation to embrace her, suppose it was the whole "honor" thing she had forgotten without Kalamos) and Kal would turn his look to her. She snapped out of her thoughts ((ridiculous sea of animated love, no?)). She had to answer to Kal's look. Why the land was destroyed, why he was here (though should he truly care, for if his heart was her's he should be thankful to see her once more), how it happened, if she could truly bring beings back from the dead.... Star could see it all in his eyes. Was he afraid of her (horrid thoughts, Zoycite! I would rather die then know he feared me!)? His eyes were such a doorway to his mind, his "soul" if you will, but she ventured into his psyche without fear. Star was the key to his locked door. Star stood on tiptoes, stretching with all of her might, hand cupping around his ear; she gently whispered to him, "I will tell you everything... but not in front of the Angel Lord..."
Star didn't have trust for this "God," then again she didn't have trust in many these days. After she lost Kal she stoped trusting in anyone, the Drow included. She tolerated him a bit more though, for Kalamos cared for him deeply (which drove her mad, although she understood) as Thorlan was Kal's old friend from before he even knew of her. Star went back to her regular standing point, the sun coming out a bit more. She pulled enchanted cloak close around her body, hood placed over her head. She wouldn't address the being, if he asked her name Kalamos or Thorlan would have to answer for her. Her eyes would never lock with Validrir's, she would never speak to him directly (unless Kalamos told her to).
She put up a mental wall though, blocking Validrir from invading her mind space. It was a trick that she learned when she was younger, it was a needed skill in her line of work before. She couldn't be deteched by any means, physical or mental. This would prevent Validrir from seeing what she was ((if he didn't know already, but it is led on that you are playing it as if he doesn't know... or else, Validrir would not have put his weapon away and would be asking her questions and not Kalamos)).
She looked up at Kal, he could tell when she was tired. She was overjoyed to see him, but day was coming, sun breaking through the clouds. She was exhausted. Travelled to this land and used Radiance which took all her might. She hadn't fed enough to fill her hunger, to regain her strength. Her look was paler then usual, the effects of over exerting herself showing through. She was becoming cold, her own arms pulled the cloak tighter around her. Her look was almost a plea to Kalamos, one to set up a camp of some sorts, to allow her to sleep.
