His eyes opened as he heard her speak, tell him of the things she never wanted to do again. The feeling in the room changed; Like it was getting larger. Rather, it was being filled with an immolation of energy that Kalamos was giving off. His anger was reflected in this release. Eventually, that power receded into him as he regained composure, he spoke again but with a similar sorrow to Star's own, "I'm doomed to vanish. Time isn't mine to be had." Pausing for a moment, he continued, "It was your wish to cease feeding from the living. I do not to see your wish broken because you fear losing time with me. You've brought be back this time, I'm sure you can do it again." He pulled her closer to him, drawing her very near his face with his unprotected arm, "And I do not fear you. Surely before you joined the countless others turned vampire, you feared the pain the bite would surely bring. The last time you bit me, I had slashed my own hand with a rusted blade; Neither of us was really aware of your feeding or how much you took from me. You only became aware after your thirst was silenced." His eyes acquired a tearful look. He recalled the look of total horror in her face at what she had almost done to him that night when she had regained consciousness. It hurt him more deeply than any monster ever has. "How much time do you think I lost that night? How much could you possibly think you  would take from me today?"

He lowered his head, working to stifle the sadness that memory could bring; It was no use, once brought forth that memory robbed his eyes of tears. He just shut his eyes and fought the horrible thought. The look of utter shame in her eyes, he sought to free her from that: and to find that again he failed a goal he reached for only proved to devastate his psyche once again. It was the one thing he never dreamt of; He was glad not to have. It could've proven a much darker nightmare than any dream of the things he's done in wars and battles in the name of 'justice'. Eventually, he just stopped moving completely and got really quiet while he waited for her to speak. Wondering if his words could dissuade her from the alternative of requesting or hunting for the blood of someone outside.

Kalamos spoke to her with a voice that dripped with sorrow. She let her eyes look to his face, liquid glass falling from his eyes. She reached up with delicate gentle, gauntlet covered hand. But right before she touched his skin with the cold armor, it turned into a liquid state and curled back up her arm quickly, allowing her flesh to be naked. She caressed his face. Fingers entangled into his hair. Star scooted closer to him, throwing a leg over him, one on each side, straddling him. She placed her arms on either side of his shoulders. He could now look at the armor more clearly now, it was a living breathing thing. Star cocked her head to the side, a gentle smile coming across her lips, slight shake of her head,  â€œDon’t cry my love…” if he had put his arms around her, he would feel the heat from her lower back burning.

“I stopped feeding on the living when I met you because you adored them so. You cared for the living more then any other being I had met. And I loved you instantly. There wasn’t a moment that I spent with you that didn’t drip with my affection for you.  Kalamos, it took me years to admit my feelings to you, and I just cant lose you because of the way I am…” she was staring into his eyes the whole time she spoke.  â€œYou were my reason for living, because I had to see you again… and you are right, I can bring you back again and again… and I will even if it means death for me.” She nuzzled into his neck, she placed lips on it, fangs slightly caressing soft delicate flesh  before turning her head. Star lowered her voice, “Just tell me  you love me…”

He listened to her as she spoke, followed the motion her hand made his face move. She knew full well how terrifying the thought of having something sink its teeth into him was and once she finished speaking, he just stared at her. Not with fear, not with anger; He held up a hand, and undid the mantle lock to his cape. Allowing it to fall off it exposed his entire neck. He wrapped his arms around her, pressed his hands against the back of her head and drew her right onto his neck. No fear, no trembling, No hesitation. He could feel her breath upon his neck, it was almost as cold as she felt. His energy felt warmer, his very presence could confirm for her the meaning to his actions, that words would never fit his feelings for her. His heart beat steadily.

She felt his hand against the back of her head, bringing her to his naked neck. She pulled away from him slowly. “Are you sure, love?” He spoke no words, only a nod of  the head. She slowly nodded her own.  And now her dance began. She closed her eyes, concentrating she became almost angel like. Kal had never witnessed her feed before… she became the very image of a beautiful soul coming to comfort someone. Her hair glowed, her skin became warm while it shone brighter then regular flesh. Opening her eyes that had changed to the colour of her name, zoicite (proper way of spelling the mineral). Kal had seen this image once, in his mind when they were searching for one another and she pulled him to safety. She stared into Kal’s eyes and she invaded his mind with memories of a better past, Together they were thrown under a blanket of stars, an open field, a single tree.. Together they stood, he and she, love being felt between them both. Long embraces and lovers stares exchanged, a single kiss…

Kal’s eyes were closing slowly now, losing himself in a wonderful dream. “Love is a switchblade kiss…” she leaned in to his lips, “both pleasure…” her lips pressed against his, it burned with care and fantastic lust. She pulled away slowly, head nuzzled to his neck. Sweet kisses placed along it…

And in his dream she and he were loving one another, the most intimate he had ever been with someone. He felt safe, comforted, the most alive he’s ever felt. It was a lucid dream, intoxicating in a sense. Star was pouring her soul, her everything, into his dream… just to comfort him. Hot breath against his flesh, “And Pain…” and with that her fangs grew more and punctured into his flesh. It was like a hot knife through butter. Immediately his crimson life entered her life. She lost herself in the sweet taste of this nectar. She had craved this for a long time. He would instinctively try to pull away, but straddling him, she was in the better position, other hand grabbing his shoulder… a small burst of energy to calm him more into the dream. Kal’s blood reacted though, he was trying in vain to push her teeth away from him [Inner Light]. But her teeth would tear through the new barriers that would form. Blood seeped into her mouth and it would linger on her tongue before she would swallow.

In the dream, she and Kal were in lip lock, and for probably the first time, he would lose  himself completely in her, all guard and barriers down.

Driving into his mind as she did his neck; her illusions of comfort fell upon the wastelands of his nightmares. Pulled into his own mind, her illusions had only partially succeeded. This time though, he was awake, and in control of himself. Visions of lust were not her true feelings, he knew that they were the vampiric instincts, and although she would likely love to do such things to him, that wasn't what drove her to love him. Deep in the sickening pit of failures that his mind was racked with, he waved his hand; And as Validrir could do to the very realm of Calgoa, Kalamos had done to the world in his head. A wild and totally consuming arc of light exploded from his direction. The shadows and illusions between them completely shattered, Star's artificial visions would not appear before him and neither would his darker side to her. To him, she was at all times; who she really was under all the curses and blessings and nothing else. To that he delivered all his affection, there was nothing here but concern for her. Beneath all his motives, his values; his very code: She was above all priority. For that, he would and actually could for but this moment banish all the impurities of his self loathing from his mind. He looked at her, "No need for instinct here, after all; It's not how you came to love me. Or how I came to love you." He was beside her, he looked up, and the sky exploded into the starry night she had tried to create. Having her once again straighten the laybrinth of darkness in his mind was all the ecstasy he would ever need. Having a clear conscious again. He breathed deeply the night air he had made in his mind. Relishing this totally relaxed sensation. "We have a lot to talk about and as long as we're here; We've all the time we need." He was referring to the time difference between reality and the mind world. A single second was at least several dozen times longer in the mind than in reality. They had what would be several dozens of minutes before she would need to leave and cease feeding from him.

In the world of the real his body relaxed, filled with that clear thought he was at peace. He could be no more comfortable than he was now; With his life draining into her. As she drank from him, his own power began to circulate from his body to her. She was not only absorbing precious blood from him, but his energy as well; What's more, a connection between them began to form. Not physical or magical, but spiritual. Behind and under the core of every emotion, the very things they lived by, they understood, began to interact. In his mind she would begin to see the two used to create him, connected directly to him here. Invisible to him though they were. They both cast the same look she saw in the angel form. They saw her as a necessity to Kal's continued sanity, to his life. They valued her just as deeply as he did. It was because Kalamos had loved her that they had made his angel side surface and act as it did. That it was incapable of the same kind of care was nothing more than a preposterous lie; But both of them had lived, both of them had died fulfilled lives.

This strange thing between the two of them that had made Kalamos, was new to them as well as her. Direct communication with them was not possible, it was only through motion, through the environment the had created in his mind; That their intents could be known. She would percieve that when Kalamos waved his hand to banish the shadow, they had made it possible. That whenever he reached for his supernatural power, it was through them that the power could be conjured. His intimate understanding of the power he used was simply because it was would he was essentially made from. The two spirits he could see in him, we just a part of what made him. He was, in all sense of the word; His own person. What he felt for her, was his own. That although they were part of the mix needed to create him, how he acted when he was in control of himself, had nothing to do with them. They had many things she could tell that would be common between them. It was here that she would discover, much to her likely joy; That as long as she wished to continue living with him, they would do what they would heed her call to to make it possible.

Although she was a dream walker, Star had never quite been able to control Kal’s mind fully. In fact the beings that made him used to banish her every move. She remembered how it felt every time she was thrown into this abyss of Kal’s older mind. But this was new territory, this was Kal’s true mind, not the hidden one from before. Her vision of lust had melted away to nothing as he spoke to her softly.  He was correct, she never lusted after him, it was always the purest kind of love; the kind of love that you read about and crave. She took a stand by his side in this world of his. Her physical appearance wasn’t one that she liked, this wasn’t the Star he came to love. The stars burst across the sky finally and she smiled, looking up at them. She felt something growing within herself in this dream world… she could feel her emerald eyes come back, her color restored and the dark armor she was wearing shift and change into a delicate white backless dress. She walked a bit in front of Kal, and he could see the markings on it: the two vertical scars where her wings grew from, her 8 pointed star (which was usually always hidden) upon her lower back:  and this would be Kal’s first seeing of this marking and realization would come to why she was known as Star. There was also burn marks upon her back, old burns that scared over… this was caused by Kal, not intentionally but from the last time she walked his mind, she was burned badly as she protected him from his self. She turned back to look up at him with a smile, this was peace.

In reality her body was regaining the strength she needed slowly as he was losing his. Invisible energy held them close together. They were connecting, life and radiance exchanged. Star was becoming more powerful with every mouthful, this blood was enchanted to her. Not only did her life come back to her but so did her magical abilities. She could feel Kal’s power, radiance, flow through her veins and her radiance went into his: their radiance mixing with one another, sharing and bonding between the two lovers [Soul Current]. It in fact was a benefit for them both, as their radiance was empowered.

She looked at Kal and behind him she saw the two beings that created him. She could see them and now was staring at them both. Kal would notice her attention being distracted, she nodded to both of them in thanks for allowing her world to come back to her, and for protecting her always. Her hands took his as her attention turned back to him. She was happy now. “We can talk all you want, love…” But as they mixed in this dance of Radiance and Blood, her mind began to involuntary seep into his. Her mind was as much dark as his before she released him the first time… Kalamos never truly knew her full past. Whispers were heard off in the distance, curses and spells, screams and hated words, pleas and begging…. She shook her head gently to wash the sounds away, hoping it was only her hearing them. Something more was happening, she could picture her child, the white orb glowing brightly within her and trying to escape. “Something is happening… you can feel it, right?” she pushed the thoughts aside, “I am sure you have questions for me, love…” she cooed into him, arms embracing him… if he were to embrace her back, the scars would always be felt.

He saw her staring at something over his shoulders, but he couldn't gather what. To his amazement, her nodding was responded to by a sudden release of power in him. It created wind in their world, warmth filled the air. "I haven't much knowledge on what's happening. This is sort of a first time experience for me Star." Noting the scars on her back, "What happened to your back? There are three scars I do not recognize." His eyes glazed over momentarily as he wavered in the wind. Visions hit his mind memories not of his own. He shook his head, and looked at her, "I don't think you're simply drinking blood. Because I just got my answer." The curses and screams were much louder to him than her. He realized the occurance of these visions, must've been thoughts of hers. Memories, of hers. "So... Why's your father being kept in Nall now?" He had asked that like a young child would. He took a seat, slowly. He wore no armor here, it was his tunic underneath that he was garbed in. He wasn't as stoic and majestic without it, he seemed ordinary. His cartography equipment was also present in the world here, it was one of his hobbies. Their world filled in; stripping pieces from both his and her past to construct this montage of their lives. He could feel her power, as it meshed with his own. While hers was a duet of demonic and mystic power, it was bridged by her newly found radiance skills. They were different from his own, his were pure. Her's were influenced by the other two dramatically.

He turned toward her and added to his questions, "You must've missed me sorely. I don't even know how long I was gone. It couldn't have been very long." His afterlife was unlike anything that awaited her, Nall, or anyone else he had ever crossed paths with.  Star would be able to see it, taste it's emptiness. Nothing, there was no movement for him, there was no breathing, there was absolutely nothing. For lack of a better word, it was the void. He embraced her just as strongly as she did him, "What is this light I can sense..." He was referring to the spirit she was carrying that being highly active, although; He didn't know that yet. Star would also notice a gently and steady fading in the bonds holding him and the soul collision together. They didn't get thinner, but their incredible brightness was dimming steadily. She still had plenty of  before she would need to do anything about it. He was avoiding his big question for now; He wasn't sure he wanted an answer for it.

She sat with him, taking in his questions. She felt as if she was sitting in the middle of a photo album, living scenes played out before them. She was still very close to him, head nuzzled under his arm. He mentioned the scars on her back. “The star… that is my mark since birth. It is very special to me and no harm can come of it. At all times it is to be hidden from view. But it is why I am known as Star instead of my real name.” She turned and looked into his eyes, he would know exactly what it was, silent messages felt to him. She couldn’t tell him about the burns though… that would break his heart. But she needed not say a word as the living mosaic played back a memory of long ago. He would see himself in a lifeless state of being as she held him tenderly, but quick actions as  she came to consciousness and he began to convulse upon the ground. The energy building around him manifest into a fire, Star quickly threw her body over his, sacrificing herself for his wellbeing. This was the cause of the burns.  She sighed as the scene played over and over again, like a bad tape. “It was my fault… I didn’t solve the puzzle correctly and caused much harm to you…” she was referring to the labyrinth of his mind.

He asked of Nall and her father. “he was too much for me to carry anymore. Without you around my demon side was evolving too quickly, and  the craving of slaughtering innocents was too much to bare. Nall was stronger then I and so Father moved to him… he prefers being a wolf, for that is a shape he took often when living. (Her father is Marchosias, you all can look him up)” Nall was her familiar was with her for her whole life. Every scene and picture of her there was Nall close by. Watchful eye always. “Father granted the needs to protect me when I couldn’t find you… I lost the will to live, the will to survive. Nall did it for me, Father made sure of it.”

The next question hit her like a tons of bricks. She had once asked Kal if he would like to have a family… but she never spoke of hers. She could feel the orb reacting to this new power, this peaceful state of being. Her look turned dark and she was taken back to years before she would have met Kalamos. There the scene played out for Kal to observe, Star fought off tears as she knew it was going to happen:

-Star lay pregnant and looking up to a huge vampiric demon. She looked on with care, with fear, but no love was felt from her as she spoke to this being, although anyone could tell that had been together for whatever reason it needn’t mattered. Voices became yells and soon Star was begging on her knees, fear clearly in her eyes, something Kal hadn’t seen  in her before, a fear that mother has when their child is in danger. Hands held to her stomach as the child kicked, upset by the rage forming within Star. The male being held Star’s clearly tiny and powerless body down, sharp blade flickered from the light hitting it. The blade disappeared into her flesh… the child cut from her. Star was losing blood quickly, too quick. She tried to fight back as he held the child in front of him. There was a infant child girl, covered in a bloody mess… star could hear her baby crying,  and watched in horror as the male turned into a rage. The child eyes were too blue and the hair was clearly yellow… this was not his child. Rather, it was Macewind’s child.. She loved Macewind, she cared not for this being… she was forced into being with him, held in his realm against her own will. He was outraged that the child was not his… and in an instant there was the sickening cracking of bones and the crying stopped. Zoycite had lost masses of blood by now, she couldn’t make a sound when her child stopped crying, she watched as he turned with lifeless doll in his hands and dropped it to the ground. The scream that came from Star was more powerful and filled with rage then Kal would ever bear witness to. But in this realm, she was rendered powerless… blood pouring from her, only screaming of sorrow and hate escaping her. (in fact this was the only time Nall wasn’t present, he was with Rosie looking for Star) The figure left… the realm disappeared and Star was left to die… -

By the time the scene ended  Star was fighting the urge to cry. She swallowed hard, head still hung low. She pointed to the white orb as it escaped through her breast, “This is her…” and it manifested into the perfect infant child, she looked like a porcelain doll with the most blue eyes and such blonde hair. In her mind, Star kept this child, and she would often lose herself in these memories, wanting a child. She adopted Rosie as her own, after Blade was lost, “Her name is Blade…. And I carry her with me. This way, she will get to see the world and feel things such as love.” tears filled emerald eyes as the child slept peacefully before turning back into an orb and circled her and Kal. Slowly Star was breathing, choking back the tears… “you never knew of my past, love… because it is all too painful sometimes.”

The power was shifting more now. She didn’t want this peace to end. She could have stayed in his mind forever. Right now, she cared to just be in his arms.

He began to watch as Star had made a terrible sacrifice in defending him, and to his stark blank expression of total horrified and enraged shock; The murder of Star's child. He was not without his sense of humanity, it was far too horrible to look at, his face slowly turned away. He pressed down his anger. "I'm sorry for your pain." He silently wished to himself that he had met her sooner. That perhaps all that could've been averted despite the horrifying power this thing that caused such pain had if he had been there. His heart knew the truth though, that if he had been there in all probability he would've met the same fate. "So... What... Am I?" There was a lot of hesitation in his mind, she would know full well he wasn't sure he wanted the answer or that he could handle it.

She turned up to Kal… he must not have known his origin at all. She took in a long deep breath. “Sometimes are left unspoken…” but the more she thought of it, she couldn’t lie to him, she had to tell him. But part of her didn't want to. Would this end it all for him? Would she be thrown into reality because she upset his mind? Would she be burned once more? But he had asked her, and she loved him... “Right now you are  a summon. I brought you back for my own selfish reasons. I can’t live without you, there is no reason to. You’re my everything, my happiness, my sorrow, my smile, my heart, my reason to breath everyday…” She was now staring into his eyes, “but as to what you are… I really do not know Kal. You are your own person, you live and breathe and feel like a being. You are something so much more… you’re magnificent. You are Radiance. I don’t know how it came to be, but you are the result of two souls colliding with radiance. That is your birth…” She didn’t know how to explain it, and in reality she didn’t know how it came to be. “the Tome explained that I had to summon you the same way you came into this world… That is all I know… I am sorry Kalamos.” Star had used his full name for the first time in years, it was her way of keeping things serious and with love.

He listened to her explain what she knew about him. He responded, "Just... any random two?" His remained calm; He sought to understand what he could about himself. He was starting to get quieter. His thoughts, less pronounced. Star had some time left, but it the loss of blood was starting to affect his mind directly. His regeneration was slowing. He was beginning to run low on it. The crimson she drank, was beginning to spill from his neck. His movements were slower now. Both the other two present, turned their gaze on Star. Their expressions were clear warning her that her time here was growing short. The silver light binding them was easily translucent. She would need to depart soon, or risk ending the stability of her summoning spell. Everything seemed like it was getting faster for Kalamos. He was losing track of everything in the blur of reality around him. His steady heartbeat was beginning to slow down.

She turned to him and shook her head., “no not any two, they are specific, the two standing behind…” her eyes met with theirs.  They warned her that time was growing thin. She was foolish, how long had it been since she was feeding. Time lapses in the mind and reality were hard to keep track of. She sighed to him, “I will explain in the real world… but these spirits are specific to you…” She leaned up and pressed her lips to his,  â€œI love you, and I thank you for giving me life once more…”

She slowly stood and began to take her memories from this place, each one folding and coming back to her mind, at least she was trying. The shared memories between the two of them were duplicated. “Kal… we don’t have much time, I have to go…” she meant leave his mind, not death. She knew that the radiance had to be split, that there couldn’t be a mix or else she risked some of her memories staying with him and haunting him. The white orb circled one last time and into her body it went. Eyes looked at Kal, her face held the same expression as the day  they both found each other, when they both realized the love they shared for one another.

His world began to tremor as she spoke the words. He savored their parting kiss. Pulling away he nodded and understood, "I'll see you on the other side." Incredible force began to work in his mind. The two linked to him assisted the seperation. To his surprise a pretty sizable chunk of what was in his mind during this event, belonged to her. He disintegrated as the world she viewed began to become what it was before, retaking the dark and sorrowful shape of his mind. It was like thunder, it sent her crashing back to reality, and Kalamos soon realized an incredible pain in his neck; and a coldness in his own flesh. His powers, they surged like nothing before; but he was too exhausted to use them. He was merely trapped by her bite. His body went limp with unconsciousness in her arms. Her bite wasn't what he expected at all, and now for once in years; he slept soundly. No nightmares plagued him, if anything; he seemed happy, at peace with his world. It was painful, but it showed him a means for her to enter his mind; to share her thoughts with him. It was a place, where they could be themselves, alone and happy. Most importantly, Star could tell her spell was holding strong.

With the darkness overcoming the crumbling night sky, she was thrown back into her own body. Eyes snapped open and she pulled away from his neck, fangs exiting gently as to not rip it anymore. The wounds would begin to heal over, the two spirits working quickly on the wound, giving him a means to survive the wound, to live.  Arms held Kal close to her body. The power surged through her veins, she had become the younger version of herself, more mystic now then demon or vampire. She was perfect, this is who Kal fell in love with. She wanted to run, fly, do something! She was more energized the she had felt in years! She was invincible, she was Amazon, she was warrior! She was…. All too dizzy. It was as if she was drunk. She gripped tighter onto Kal. She could tell she had taken much blood from him, his flesh was cold. She unclasped the breast plate and placed him down on the bed. She stood and with little effort, moved him to a more comfortable position. She called in Nall who came running all too quick. He stopped dead in his tracks, looking Star over from head to toe. It had been so long since he saw her happy, so energized. This would be prime time for her to test her abilities! Nall was enthralled… “He is cold… warm him…” A nod of the head as the wolf padded over to Kal’s side. Nose touched against Kal’s tunic, a gentle wave of heat would come from Nall to Kal. Acid washed voice, “He has revived you… You can take on another form now, dove…”

She nodded her head. There was one more form that she had, Kal had seen it once in his mind, although she never got to use it. She sat next to Kal, protecting him, finger running through his hair comforting him. She was thankful… Nall was as well. There would be questions for him when he awakens.
