[align=justify:f2f64fc481]Grazing beneath the falling cherry blossoms, muzzle nuzzling at the ground as tiny orbs of fruit were gathered between teeth and unhurriedly masticated. Blaze knew nothing of evil in this world, the comprehension of it never caused fear in its eyes until this autumn day. It came in the air, causing the beautiful mare to throw her head, ivory mane tassels flowing in the wind. Snorting as a high whinnied nickering escaped upon the frost of breath hitting the coldness loitering on every talon of chaotic storm boiling, clouding over the once clear blue sky. Alarm inflicted her intuition, every muscle and tendon compelling her to take to the hills. Hide in the forest, the unicornâs sanctuary where the crystal babbling brook streamed beneath the canopy of lush deep greens and dazzling blossoms.
All she could do was watch this menacing formation appear across the sky, black rolling clouds smothering the sunshine and azure blues. Rising above the horizon, taking away the beauty all unicorns admire in nature. Dark eyes reflecting the turmoil of storm, as lightening flashed, the distant wardrum of thunder colliding against the elements as if some huge monster dragged its chains. Massive clubs banging on the doors of hell, demanding those iron doors to open, free the dark things from their dismal pits of evil deeds. The element of air traveled this omen of warning, animalistic senses picking up the urgency of the doom swiftly rising to engulf the creatures of this forest in massive onyx-dripping jaws.
Breast flanks twitching, muscles tensing as once again she snorted in defiance. Fetlock hooves pounding at the moist earth, poll twitching as ears moved abruptly as if hearing a voice traveling with the sinister winds. Length of tail swishing in the tangling blister of whatever loomed, her withers convulsing from anxiety, the anxiety that even unicorns can not deny and that was the instinct to protect the herd. The approaching storm grew louder, the rumbling clouds more menacing as they crossed the open plains. With the evil that came, something else came with it, some eerie pulsating fog but more like creeping shadows, opaque. A high pitched whinny escaped past clenched mortars.
Blaze lowering in sheer defiance, eyes burning with conviction, to protect for she was the guardian of these parts and she would give her life to stop whatever meant harm to the creatures of the woods. Snorts pluming frosty vines into the oncoming elements, the whirlwinds of darkness as spittle fired out from nostrils and another whinny escaped this one though a lot more different, it was enough to shatter glass. It echoed throughout the forced, pierced the elements to split the spectral spirits from crossing the threshold of her magical fortitude. Rising high upon hooves, shanks straining from the weight shifting to hinds, full weight sustained to the back of her form in order to launch in attack.
Knees bent, digging at the clashing elements, hoof slashing fiercely just before the power in her hocks leaping forward to retaliate, head lowered so that the hook of her neck was pinned hard towards the instep of ivory crest. Swiftness was against the wind and even though the lashes against her stung. Invisible whips slashing against her as they split and injured the unicorn pressed on. The ear-splitting call again ringing out, if here was where sheâd perish, all the others would know to hide deeper in the enchantment of the earth guardians, seek their shelter should she fail. Flashes of white through the black, swirling winds all around her, circling, were disorientating her wits forcing her to be lost to this darkness. [/align:f2f64fc481]
