Caffran Brunner
May 10, 2005, 11:29:16

Brunner would launch a massive attack on Ayenee's neighbor. Thousands of men would march towards Eden as they began to form The Coalition, all fighting under the banner of Brunner. Thirty-five thousand men marched on the lands of Eden, deadly men, fighting men. Mostly spearmen and pikemen, all gathered together in strategic positions, rank upon rank. They would march in the phalanx formation. Something like this.

I = Man

III   IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII   III
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

A solid battleline of men with firearms filled the front ranks. That is what the scene was on the horizon of Eden, would they surrender, or be destroyed?

Sammael
May 10, 2005, 12:20:00

*Avatar of Sammael*

Irritable winds procreated upon the corporeal, extending throughout the realm, whisked upon the varieties of landscapes that echo their distrust to the mountains. Creasings, folds in the iridescent air transcend the minds of the warriors in the battalions of Brunner's. Particles coalesce along the surface outline of a gentle mentality, holding its form on the realm of Eden. Shimmering lines glisten 'pon the horizon, bending the paths of light, tainting the waves of grain that populate the plains
which were chosen as the battlefield. As the cries of soldiers finally recognizing the faint glint of light from farther than the Avatar would have suspected.

Malevolent visions spark upon his mentality, aching from the need for blood to be spilled. Sammael had procured this one with the desires of death, the want only to destroy those who would encroach upon the lands of Eden. As the tenebrious sanity held on, the invocations of certain Arcana were loosed. Warnings should be given, the sanity echoed, attempting to rein the hatred of the Avatar, yet its pleas were lost
upon one who would see nothing but destruction. A fleet foot allowed the Avatar access through the river of grain encroaching upon the outer limits of Brunner's men. By the time he drew near, several blasts were echoing across the land, as the gunmen of Brunner's front line opened a volley on the avatar. Unfortunately, the projectiles merely passed through that which was intangible.

A shift in the mentality told that it had drawn near enough to Brunner's flank, and it immediately let loose an arcanic blast that would decimate the nearest hundred or so soldiers as a Chain Lightning spell went into effect, hitting one man, and arching towards the two closest to him. As the scent of seared flesh begin to infiltrate his senses, the Avatar let loose an inhuman scream from its depths, as its desires were being fulfilled.

Turning, the Avatar began to move throughout the field of bodies he had expunged, as he continued his assault against Brunner.

The End of All Light.

Queen of Eden - Sorceress of Aoyn
May 10, 2005, 12:35:58

News had filtered through the realm of Eden that an army of reasonable proportions had marched into Eden, word travels swiftly in this shadowed paradise- a land far less understood than those previously discovered and populated, but nature and all things of darkness, everything was connected. The winds is what sent the word swiftly and unseen to the eye of those who marched in opposition towards Eden, they would be met which just as much force but not so obvious as the enemy but tenfold in viciousness and bloodthirsty warriors adorned in the glistening armour of shadow mithril and weapons of chaos and destruction, called from ALL corners of Eden and every city would be alerted by the very same winds that call to the Guardian and Commander of Eden and to the Dark Queen herself, the Lords of Mortara and the Battlements of Helvitrias- the winds would grace them with the information that these men marched towards their cities. If they wished not to partake in battle then the
reinforcements of the city should be well activated, drawbridges closed or entrances sealed behind the massive wrought or obsidian walls. However their legions would be summoned by the low drone of war-horns issued from the Imperial capital City; the reverberation filling the air with a low droned command; this would signify that Eden will not surrender and the only destruction that would eventuate would be Brunner
and 'his' men.

Order of the Sacred Fire
May 10, 2005, 13:12:06

Again in Eden, the Order had been so lost alter the notice of Varsinax's fall. What could they do now? The one named Raf had left them, their precious Ayenee was under the clutch of that evil mistress, no home to go back, no place to call their own. Wandering could be all they could do, and so into Eden they could do so. Being well trained knights they had no problem in surviving on the fields, out of animals and what
nature could give them. Being dark-bound clerics disease could be not a menace, their powerful magic could close wounds and destroy parasites inside in matter of seconds.

Just another short hill and they could reach the city. Maybe talking to the queen could mean the end of their wandering. And then a sound made them halt, that of chaos and battle, that of death and fighting? the sound of war. Captain Arcbound Baltimore curled his upper lip in a relieved smile, his white mustache moving a bit in the wake of joy. He
made a signal with his hand and the 750 riders moved as one to the edge of the hill. Yes, it was a battle, one with an odd looking creature and common soldiers trying to kill themselves. Then the Captain got a glimpse of a familiar face 'Brunner' This man was an heretic and traitor to his eyes and probably to the eyes of lord Varsinax, he was worst than Justin Crank. Maybe Varsinax was not around anymore, but for the sake of Ayenee, for the honor and glory of the former empire, for all the memories he and probably his men had of their loved home, and for so many more reasons Brunner had to fall.

The men were getting impatient; all of them ready to go into that berserker frenzy the angel had given them, ready to rip, shed, hack and slash any living thing that could cross in their way, but no, not now. Baltimore eased them with a wave of his hand as he continued scanning the battleground. Seven hundred fifty dark cleric knights could never match about thirty thousand foot units, maybe they could take down some
thousands by their own, but the numbers could win in the end. Now he wished for lord Varsinax to be here leading this attack, maybe the force of the Empire could bring them down, but they, the Order of the sacred Fire was all on their own by now.

The gigantic creature was making their way into the front line with no apparent trouble. There the Captain saw his opportunity, the back was weaker. Still, the horses speed and the swords range could never win against the long reach of the spears. To make a full charge could represent the end.

"Order of the Sacred Fire! We are taking down the traitor Brunner and his forces. We are attacking the rear with magic AR-32. Draw the swords only in self-defense, we are killing them from distance"

He made another signal with his right hand and they disappeared from view back behind the hill. They rode light and fast behind the little hills using them as cover. After some more minutes they could reach the rear of Brunner's troops. They halted one mile behind them. Closing their eyes 749 men began to chant, Arcane words oming from their mouths, white robes rising to reveal black heavy armors underneath, and a cold wind coming from east. And then one by one little spikes began to appear upon the head of each cleric, they grew until becoming one feet long, thick on the back and pointy on the front, they seemed like stakes of ice, black ice, ready to be thrown to the enemy, and able to pass through armor, flesh and bone. The Captain kept a stoic face, his brows jutting on the middle as if they were one. He was the only one not chanting, as he had to lead the attack.

"Aim to the heads, get ready"

He could wait for the right moment to fire...

Irene Gabriela DuGrace
May 10, 2005, 13:14:36

-News spread quickly through Eden with the Royal Guard who immediately brought those gold leafed notes to all those whom lived within the Imperial City. Yes Eden was well cared for, and everything inside worked like a perfectly kept clock. Clearly Atra was a woman of convictions, and a fair ruler though this city may be shrouded in Darkness. Those who lived under the protection of Atra felt safe and sure in their decision, and from all around Aoyn people now came, sacrifices were made, such
things were clear, but the quality of life was magnificent here. And though this city was indeed ruled by dark forces honor and dignity was never forgotten.

That had been what had brought Gabriela here without permission of the Commander, or even the Queen, she came now as a Captain in her own right, and she came as one who understood politics, who knew of war and death. She stood on the line of the forest watching the forces that were forming and getting ready to attack. Her attire was changed completely. Tight black breeches were worn with a golden ribbon running up the sides. Her boots made of soft leather reached her thighs and were rolled down to caress her knees. Golden chaps kept her legs tightly bound against the boots and her two small daggers well hidden. Her shirt of black silk was tucked in perfectly the lace that trimmed the sleeves and neck added to adorn what was already lovely. A vest over this with of deep crimson showing off her feminine figure incase there was any
confusion on the case. And thrown over all of this was a thick dark red cape held at the left shoulder by a golden clasp with the emblem of Eden.

She trusted her abilities to escape if these creatures truly held no knowledge of honor and proper way to rage war. She walked away from the protection of the trees, "Brat!" Much to her surprise and relief the demon horse came, wearing its armor as well and for the most part calm. The short thick black fur showed the slick motion of muscle underneath as it trotted towards her not bothering to stop. But she had no intentions of spending much time in one place and with her left hand gaining a good grip of the black reins she pulled herself mid-run onto the back of her stallion. Straight into the direct line of fire she rode, no weapons drawn though the rapier strapped to her side was obvious, would they attack someone who came baring no weapons against them? Pulling gently on the reins of her horse she came to a slow stop a few yards away from the front line of one of the formations, "I seek to speak to your Commander!" There Gabriela sat waiting, long black hair pulled back into a tight braid to avoid it being captured in any ones grasp. Her features lovely but concentrating. Before this war was to start a proper chance had to be given for this foolish Commander to turn away and save the lives of his men. Though already she saw small groups gathering prepared to fight, something in her grew despreat...if death could be avoided on such a level then she would attempt to bring reason to this foolish man.-

At the command to her physical self, the Queen of Eden and the knowing that with dignity the forces and officials would approach the matter of war with that honor and dignity- the Captain of Eden's forces compelled by that same deep-seated respect for matters of war that the opposing force obviously did not have. From the City of Mortara once again this darkened plague would take to the skies issuing the tempest to stir and smother the skies of darkness and electric surges. The cape of darkness
which spread across the land asphyxiating the moon and the night from all light save for the flashes of lightening and pronged forks that assailed the land in fearsome tridents; thunderous reverberations rumbling shaking the very ground where all forces of men would gather. The invisible maws of the diseased virtue decadence could only smile at the blatant display of ignorance marching towards the cities of Eden.

Like insects they gathered but the integrity of Eden would not be so challenged to partake in battle by far less noble needs or simple whims of goodness/neutrality and darkness- this would not be a battle of elements but the simple mechanisms of warfare and tactic- another thing these forces before Eden lacked. Leadership lead by the arrogant and pompous blazing their banners as if it was a force to bow to, to
surrender to. The very land would laugh at their presence. Atra saw in intricate visions that the Lady of DuGrace and now the Captain beneath KaliCity would in fact address these forces in the manner of creditability and honor- and it would be this essence taking to the skies in which to guard Gabriela as an angel would, intangible and
unseen, merely the wind which caressed her features and stroked at the flanks of her demonic steed; stroking the very essence of those who approached the commander to declare the stakes and have him surrender or remove himself from lands which he held no rank and no power; just a nothing in the eyes who reigned and held dominance in the eyes of Eden; a straggler marching his men to their own deaths, fools.

Decadence would be there to intervene should one attempt to harm Gabriela, of ourse she had means of protecting herself, but should one of far less ethics or virtues attempt to strike from an unfair advantage they would be met with a force they could not touch but only inhale and thus the egegore would consume them from the interior, liquefying their internal organs, thrombosis of the blood cells causing vessels to explode at the pressure of swelling arteries and capillaries. Should one hand rise to strike those lovely features of the daughter of KaliCity the Commander of Eden and one held so close to the heart of Atra nothing would be left of this faltering army of vagabonds and dishonourable scoundrels- Gabriela was there to either sway them or to bring back to Eden a more honourable declaration of war...

Wamphyri!
May 10, 2005, 16:42:13

Flyers had been the first to survey the scene from overhead...runners had been called ahead and sent riding hard back towards the City of Eternal Night.  Malagen the Black's mood was dark as his soul would be, if he had one.  The ride out of Mortara and across the great wilderness into these unfamiliar western parts had been arduous to say the very least; in fact and in proper perspective, it had been a hair-raising, nail-biting, apparently endless nightmare of a journey.  Of course, the Dark Lord would never dream to admitting such to any of the Lessers Lords ( those that travelled with him ); throughout he had appeared the Great Leader, entirely unshakable, utterly inscrutable:  the warrior-Lord Malagen the Black.  But to himself...on several occasions he had wished he'd never been sent the message of the gathering army
upon the distant horizon.

Known for his fits of melancholy as well as for his might, now that most powerful Lord of the Wamphyri looked more morose, withdrawn, and doomfraught than ever; yet at the same time---seated upright and solid as a rock in the saddle of his massive warbeast, at the head of what was an awesome army---he seemed more determined than before.  Malagen was a tall man, just shy of six feet, two inches.  His forces have never truly been called to attack---other than in the defense of Mortara and now for the Realm of Eden.  But when on occasion he had been oblieged to make war, he would become utter and ruthless.  he was a hard man...eighty years ago, he'd lain Bloodspire and Vladmanse to waste, bound their masters in chains and hung them out to dry where the sun's hot smelt would discover and dispose of them.

Several legions had been riding beneath the fluttering banners of the proud Warlord.  The symbol of a Dragon with one clawed hand raised, with a bat flying overhead, flapped in the wind that was pushed past the marching troops.  His numbers were half that of the invading army, but the Warrior Beasts were completely covered with chitinous armor, deadly blades and razor sharp claws, multi-armed and many jaws, they were as strong as a hundred men, the size of german tanks, and thirsty, bred for war.  Wamphyri and vampire soldiers made up the rest of the legions. Though the numbers were small by comparision...all were just as deadly and well trained.  Ten miles east of the army that had gathered, Malagen the Black had halted his own army in the heights of a random cruciform locke of wooded hills.  Horns would sound in the dark shadows, echoing out to annouce their timely arrival.

~ Kitta rides upon her armored steed along side her daughter the 2000 men marching right behind these deadly females. Kittas gaze turns to her daughter nodding slightly a motion that tells her daughter to do whatever she feels necessary with these men if battle does indeed break out this eve. The two silently ride up to Atra halting only a few paces behind her untill bid to come to her side. Eclipse paws at the ground impatiently for a moment untill Kitta pulled back sharply on the reins hissing slightly instantly bringing him under control. Kitta looks to her daughter speaking in whispered tones.

" Tis a foolish man to think he can even take out the forces that rule Eden but then this goes to only prove to me that men are just that foolish."

She awaits her daughters response as her gaze scans over these fools that dare to try and declare a war in eden, her features and gaze reveal nothing of her thoughts as she sits astride her mount awaiting her mother and Queens orders for her and her daughter.~

Her pace would hasten, powerful stride of that stead to a more military prance as they approached the designation to infiltrate head-on with the opposing forces that wish to challenge the ruling of Eden. For what could be known of Eden and the men who lay claim to challenge it were clearly misinformed and it would only make them look ridiculous in the eyes of an entire realm. Eden?s rule although under the will of a Dark
Queen was fair.

No being was mistreated unless they broke the code in which everyone in Eden is required to have- break the law then suffer they shall, so what actual claims these fools intended to make wouldn't be justified by the mindless clatter of flapping jaws peaking incoherent and brainless excuses why THEY invaded a realm just being newly constructed, those who claim 'goodness' and 'righteousness' were usually the most corrupt forces of all. Hypocrites playing toy-soldiers, should enough pressure be applied they would be forced to buckle or flee back into the stagnant swamps were obviously such low-life sprawled from. They entered a realm of darkness and thus they should expect that such a well governed and ruled city wasn't just going to sit there and allow them to march into a realm where he or his forces had absolutely no power no control or power to intervene? *"Cretins!"* she thought in a hissed acidic tone within her mind, a thought she knew would inspire the amusement of her Queen, Atra'Lamia.

The word echoed in her mind in a disgusted tone, the very definition seething on her hankered tongue for the blood of these imbeciles. Forward they would march, breaking the horizon, making a peak just over the foothills to witness these 'insects' marching through the outskirts of Eden. Other forces had gathered, and that would be no surprise but another army sparked an interest- one lead by perhaps one of the most majestic males she had ever seen perched so proud and arrogantly on his stead marching his warriors to the edge of battle; amusing. But she would not allow admiration to swerve her thought and directives of war but here she would halt her men and await further command from the legions of her Dark Queen, Atra. Here they would await those forces marching, legions coming from all sides of Eden, this was going to be a show and those foes of Eden...not many would make it out...alive.

*"MEN HALT!"*

~ Kitta follows her daughters gaze smirking slightly as she recognized the man her and her niece Gabriele had encountered inside the city of Eden. But this was no time for her and him to have words or to play that proverbial chess match again like they did the night before. Hell as far as Kitta saw it now he like any other man who wished to court or get to know her in the least would now need to seek the approval of her mother the queen in whatever way she saw fit to test them and the same standards would apply to any of her line.

Kittas gaze turns back to her daughter wondering what strategies are going through her mind with the demonic knights they had brought only a tiny portion of the vast legions given to Kitta from the 7 before she left the hells to walk the material plane with her daughter. The bond between mother and daughter was strong enough to let her daughter read her mothers thoughts and converse with her through that telepethy.~

Kain_the_Ferenczy
May 10, 2005, 17:39:12

From the right, the steady drone of striking hooves, the clatter of men in armor came rising up upon the stirring of the black falling winds that dip down and blow across the field of coming War.  The Old thing from the Tower had brought his own forces of his most trusted and loyal soldiers.  Unlike Malagen's own legions under his command, Kain the Ferenczy had nothing but the finiest of warriors.  Beasts were not a particular favorite of his own, and held little regard for the mindless monsters that were crafted in the Flesh Vats far below the Palace levels.  With battle gauntlet raised high, he curled his metal-taloned fingers inward against his pal, signalling for the soldiers to cease and to halt.  A voice flowed like rolling thunder as the command was issued with verbal content, reaching down the multi-formed ranks.

Others had seemed to gather upon what could be the eve of Bloodshed. All were mostly present, though he knew none of them personally save for Malagen.  The old creature smiled with a purpose.  " Should they attack...zero tolerance must be issued forth," he said turning to his servants and speaking in the foreign tongue of the Wamphyri Ferenczy. It was passed down by word of mouth to all those present...Kain would take no prisoners and none should be given quarters should they surrender.  A restlessness hung in the atmosphere, all seemed to be waiting on the negociations which should have been the first thing in orderly warfare.  But mortals were hypocrites, killing in the name of religion and righteousness.  Bah, the wamphyri spat upon such
outcries...and they would bow before no one...let alone insignificant mortal insects.

Angel of Death
May 10, 2005, 18:04:30

Uriel's ravens were quick to begin to pass information as to what was going on. Every detail, every movement would be relayed back to him and to Storm via the spirit link they held with the birds, so no motion would pass unnoticed. He sent forth a call, and millions of birds would head towards Eden boosting the already massive population of his beloved friends, they would be his initial weapon of choice, it would be hard to use a firearm if you had no eyes, and the ravens oddly enough found them a delicacy beyond compare, so many of the enemy would be blinded. Also he had instructed the large birds to pick up rocks in their beaks, a rain of rocks the size of hens eggs would hopefully prove more then disconcerting.

Focusing inward he drew upon the power inherent within his being and a simmering darkness formed about him, coalescing about his shoulders where seconds later he would shake himself and stretch to his full potency bearing the ravenesque wings that so individualised him amongst his brethren. Eyes now flaring gold, he allowed the darkest aspects of his nature to begin to manifest and he stamped his foot. At this a tremor would pass beneath the earth where the army stood. A second time he raised and slammed his foot into the ground, now he was beginning to warm into the truest aspect of earth which he was so complicity bound to,  and the tremor would grow in magnitude shaking with force. A third and final time he raised and drove his foot hard against the floor where still he stood within the palace. This time as his foot made contact, from deep beneath the earth far below the aspiring army a rending grinding sound began its manifestation and would continue for at least half an hour.Closing his eyes he allowed himself to slide out of the palace on the crystalline lattice of time to appear in all his glory above the ravagers.

His voice roared forth, amplified to a level of ear shattering proportions, "LEAVE, NOW IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE OF THE LIFE OF YOUR FAMILIES BACK AT YOUR HOME, FOR DEATH IS AMIDST THEE THIS DAY REMEMBERING EVERY FACE, AND EVERY ONE OF YOU. FOR EVERY STEP FURTHER YOU TAKE, ONE MEMBER OF YOUR LOVED ONES SHALL DIE, BE IT BROTHER, WIFE, LOVER OR CHILD".  Then with a final glorious shudder as he began to laugh for the earth they stood on continued to tremble, but unbeknownst to them the way had been opened for magma to well to the surface if needed by the cracking of the earth with the earthquakes.

Death Walks Among Us!!!

Michael Fiery Defender
May 10, 2005, 18:21:44

Michael had been spending much time in deep meditation since his beloved brother had so deeply shaken his focus. Still, and he had to chuckle ruefully, it was rare that any could force him to back down but Uriel had done so with impressive style.
"Ahhhh" He sighed, if only he could truly fathom the purpose of the Ones reasoning for what had happened, maybe then he could grasp Uriels behaviour. Thinking of Uriel, he was almost startled when throughout the ethereal plane in which angels bided their time a roar of rage that could only be his brothers emerged echoing across time and space. Michael stood and the Sword of Infinite Justice appeared in his right hand, he may have let his brother down before but not again, and his mind sent forth the call that would arouse the host to instant readiness.

Lightening would flash across the sky on the mortal plane as wave after wave of the angelic host would appear, armoured in truth,  weapons of right grasped firmly ready to act at their leaders command. Michael flew to where Uriel floated and nodded. "Nice party you seem to have arranged. May anyone attend or is it invitation only." He tried to use a rare touch of humour hoping it would ease the tension between himself and his dark natured brother.

~ Kitta's gaze raised to the darkened skys seeing the many ravens coming which brought a satisfied smirk to roll across her lips. Her gaze scanned about her now noting another army approaching taking careful notice of the one who commanded these warriors. Kitta was not one to miss any detail and could easily sense this being was one to whom great respect was given without second thought. She nods to him politely before her gaze swings back to the opposing forces as she hears Uriel's voice booming out over them all. She watches as she can sense something with the ground under this opposing army was changing bringing an even more alluring smile to her lips as she readies herself to cast her own spells from astride her powerful mount. Leaving the army of her Demonic Knights strictly in her daughters command to do as she does best.~
