(OOC explanation: This thread is covers what is happening in Kalamos' mind while trapped in the state he's in. People who play the characters with a potential to appear need to speak with me first. And any posts made by them are not considered actual activity by their characters if they do participate. In example, Star will be a part of this thread for sure, but in no way is the actual character involved. Her Rper has agreed to roleplay, the imaginary version of Star Kalamos will have in his mind.)

In the blankness around him his mind was his only escape; But his mind was a horrible betrayer to him. Never did it ever serve his emotions well. Left without the comfort and to the fading memories of what happened when he was defeated Kal's mind wouldn't fail to bring out the worst of scenarios. For someone in such control of his emotions, his power, he was but a puppet to his darker thoughts. They mocked and laughed at everything he stood for, showed him visions of everything he stood for; Destroyed and laid at his feet as he was chained down by his values. The rattle of chains that held him to Thorlan, Star, and everything he ever thought sacred. It was in the midst of this sickly evil that he felt most helpless. His own voice the lash of the whip-like stings of terror that filled his heart. Terror that nothing he had ever done would change the world the way he had hoped to. That instead of being the mesiah of unity he would become the pariah of all things evil. Hideous laughter filled his ears as he envisioned the way the scene would play out with his sudden 'departure'. Laughter he sorrowfully could recognize. Burning yellow eyes lit the darkness, and crimson sprayed across everything around him. Rather than turn his head, he faced this horrible possibility. The laughter flowing from the darkness did not belong to canine creature before him. The shadow of a burning angel loomed over it. Bodies of innocent people and their protectors just drifted from ground to air and back; It was a painfully abysmal dance of death. As that dark laugh faded, he watched the figure in the dark approach.

The figure walked closer, each step was placed down delicately as if not to disturb the dirt beneath it. From the flame above the short figure came another one, a female. She emerged from the flames and soon was walking before the wolfed figured as it faded away. Soon the female came into view: it was one that Kalamos would know all too well. There stood his love, the one person he always dreamt of, even in dark times.

Star walked closer to the troubled Kalamos and reached out for him. She was silent within his dream, she uttered not even a warm greeting towards him. Her eyes showed concern, showed care. A smile crossed her lips as she looked down... her neck snapped back up, black crown adorned her head, eyes bleeding (crying blood). She looked to him in aid. She took a step closer.

This wasn't her dream, this was his own.

She stood, reaching towards him now with both arms. The scars upon her back burned her with fury.

Love is a switchblade kiss... both pleasure and pain...

This dark nightmare wasn't about to end because of the psychological turmoil it was causing Kalamos. Even seeing one of Star's darkest states of being wasn't enough to pull him from the madness of his world. Despite the horrors his mind faced with him he didn't budge. Seeing her in her bloodlust state didn't give him pause or hasten any of his actions. He was calm, rationalizing that she wasn't the real Star; And while this vision was a possibility, he faced it. His mind was a cruel monster; But his resolve was strong. He waited for her to speak first, partially curious as to how his mind would play out her words.

Stepping closer this Star began to change form once more, his mind molding her into the woman he loved instead of the monster his mind twisted her into. That was a side of her he refused to see. She stood before him, his light in the darkness that was his mind. She giggled gently, her voice echoing through the void of sound. She touched his body, fingers caressed his face, she coo-ed into him lovingly, longing for his touch.

This was his dream, yes, but these were images she dreamed of as well...

The scars on her back were burning with fired fury. She winced and buried her face into his neck... tiny teeth grazed his flesh, hot breath upon skin that would send chills down anyone's spine. Tempting... so tempting it was for her to not sink sharpened teeth into wonderful flesh... She turned her head quickly.

Her head laid upon his chest, she breathed in slowly, "Where do we go from here?" She looked up at him, "Is it still us against the world?"

Off in the distance a white wolf played, he seemed to dance, surrounded by butterflies, or perhaps he was chasing them? Carefree, the way the snowy wolf used to be. The four legged creature played near a tree, that lit ablaze, the fire taking form of old ancient angel wings and coming from it came a terrible dark laugh; wolf still playing without a care, Star was still loving on him. Both Nall and Star seemed deaf and blind to the fire.

Love is a switchblade kiss... both pleasure and pain...

Kalamos shook his head, "I certainly hope against such adversity for us." Unaware of his participation in his mind's illusion. "I suppose we'll go wherever you take us. Perhaps to find a solution to our problem." The burning tree and fiery angel wings caught his attention briefly, but he dismissed it, assuming it to be her father. "Until then, at least you will have the peace of not having to murder anyone to survive. There was also something here to be noticed, about Kalamos that wasn't noticable, particularly because of his armor. Something he failed to notice, his hands had elongated nails, something she would surely notice when he caressed her face with the back of his hand gently. Unlike her own vampiric claws; His had a different kind of curvature." He returned a strong embrace, "Don't give up on our hopes. I'll be awaiting your call, forever if I must."From this false reality he faded away. His mind drifted from dreamworld back to the awareness that he was surrounded by nothing. Dreaming no more he felt naught but a sense of anxiety. He was disappointed by a complete lack of reality behind that moment. He wondered how much time he had squandered on fantasy, Cursing the darkness for trapping him so.
