I would like to welcome a new member Angel. She is a graphics designer and I have asked her to join us to assist in the development of a new style for TDR as discussed with Dy a while back...
This forum is private and I have given her mod access to this forum so colours and ideas can be discussed amongst ourselves here in the process of development...

Nice too meet you Angel. I am Dy and it seems we share a love of horror. I am more into the silver screen/cult horrors like Nosferatu {1922 FW Murnau's German silent classic}, Phantom der Nacht {1979}, Eine Symphonie des Grauens {1922}, Der Fluch der Grunen Augen {1965}, Il Vampiro Dell’Opera {1962}, La Sorella Di Satana {1965}, London After Midnight {1927}, Vampire Ambrose {1916}.  I generally do not waste my time with modern horrors because I believe they have lost touch in regards to what horror actually is, and what can be actually classed as horror. =)

I am a writer, from poetry & prose to what this site is all about, role-play to some but to me it is what I call interactive story-telling. Role-play sounds too cliche for me and has lost its meaning these days. People have lost touch with it, mostly those who run forums because to them it is about 'their' popularity and not about the writing at all. Anyway, welcome to TDR and we hope to hear and see more of you =)

Regards always.

Ah! You are a TRUE horror fan =) Not many exist in the world these days who have a true passion and reverence to the classics. There are so many old horrors I would love to get my hands on (for collection purposes) but find it extremely hard in this country to do so.

Any help. Hahaha much is needed where this forum is concerned because we do want a 'darker' look and atmosphere. Just with the themes out there currently... we are better sticking with what we have until something better comes along. We would like black, red & white, though not cliche horror. Still with the white backgrounds, because this makes it easier to read and stands out. The black and red I would LOVE to blend into this. I think in my mind... classic horror, horror with class ;)

Im totaly horror fan :)) classics are best :)) im collecting for years :)) i had lot of movies on old vhs cassetes heheh from time when i was on movie academy :)) still have them all now they are like for museum heheh, but i love them thats my sweet memory on great time in my life :)

What classics you are looking for? :) You are into german expresionisam or also other styles ?

Im glad that you have nice ideas, not long ago when me and Uriel was talking i said that will be great to see on your's forum more color , red is best choise not only cause of horror atmospehere also great in tricolor black-red-white :)) strongest tricolor in psyhology of colors and have big influence on visual part of  consumers, also is giving stylish impression on forum :) and definitely is good old classic. But i also think that you should still have this nice gray cause of miasmic atmosphere that is giving like in old b/w movies :)

I will have to take a look and see what I already have to determine what I am looking for in the classics. The real question is... what don't I want, LoL. There are too many probably to list. Possibly the rarer and harder ones to obtain knowing my luck.

As for colors, all the above sound prefect to me- actually what I have been chasing and have always had in mind. We were going to pay a guy to do a whole new CCS & layout + banner. But... his work was truly hideous, and extremely poor considering the price he was asking to be paid. It was more a rip off than anything else. He had no idea in style, color or detail.

I would prefer the black, white, red and gray- using the red as a feature color and perhaps blending the rest, in a way to compliment the other. Coming up with a new banner is no hassel. I created the one above and it was only a quick job to replace the hideous one I had done before LoL. I am sure we can all work something out to look totally amazing =)[/align:8667503cb9]

Hi after longer time :)
sorry for slow answer lot of things  at the moment is going in my family.

I have lot of friends who are  movie lovers and cinematographers and of course they like to collect old good movies :) so maybe is possible to find something for you interesting in future :)

My opinion is that colors are one of most important component in design for any web site, and they must be choosen carefuly cause by them you can say a lot to your audience/consumers and thats first impression that you are giving to them :) so all must be implemented well colors and other visual components, also intuitive and user friendly navigation is important, but all is question of taste and what you wish :) when idea is right all is possible :) On first place must be quality no compromise there!

Baner is also important i mean all need to be blended well into good site :) Your baner is totaly functional and have atmosphere wich is important , minimal and clasic.

I like your way of thinking to use color as acent thats very good direction, red is very powerful and if its used properly then can give exact touch in fine design that you wish to have here, very sofisticated :)  I will help you with pleasure with ideas :))

I hope that problems that i have at the moment soon will be sorted so i will be able to help more  :))

all the best :)

I have seen many forums myself where they look terribly cliche of horror, the over compensation with blobs of red and black, making it look more gaudy than artistic. TDR is definately not a cliche of other forums or a rip-off from another idea- that is certainly not a direction I want to go and I believe with your ideas, Scotts and mine; we will come up with something remarkable.

Don't worry if life gets busy, I have a lot on my plate as well. Life has a way of throwing darts and surprises our way, LoL.
