I slid down the wall, a blood trail forming behind me. I couldn't move. My back hurt, my arms hurt, and my neck hurt. Bruises began to form over my arms. I couldn't remember much. I remembered my nose being smashed when I told them what they didn't want to hear. Then again, I didn't know what they wanted to hear in the first place. They said that they had me for two and one half hours. It felt like it was longer than that.
Every time they spoke, I thought of Adio. I wondered what he'd become. A knight in shining armor for me? I'd love a knight in shining armor. But as it was, I was alone in darkness. Blood was everywhere on the floor, but I couldn't remember if it was my blood. Who else's blood could it be? Could it be another trick?
I forced myself to move my hand towards my nose. Pain blinded me. I stood slowly, forcing my legs to support my weight. It was only a matter of time before they came back. I knew it. I walked around the small room. They called them cells. No window. Not even a tiny barred window. And only one door.
My hands searched the wall for loose bricks. I found none. The prospect of me escaping became very slim. I wanted to scream. I held that back, forcing it down into my chest. And even further, down towards my stomach.
The door opened and rough..uh, tentacles grabbed me. I was being led down the hallway towards another room. This room was dark. I was pulled down the stairs and sat down in a chair. The chair was just a simple wooden chair. There was a table in front of me. I looked down at the table. I recognized this place and immediately, my heart lept into action.
The box opened with a metallic squeak and I froze. Not again..
"Sword of Bahakali, I see the fear in your eyes." The voice spoke from behind a black mask. It was one of the Host, a female. "I like that look. I wish I could treasure it forever, but even my patience wears thin."
I said nothing.
"Where does Bahakali sleep?"
My jaw worked. I couldn't speak though. Finally, I formulated the best answer I could. "I don't know."
"Oh, you do know." She removed a knife. "Well, I think you do. I think you'll find that you'll be thinking the same thing, too." She drug a finger across it to test its sharpness. I could hear the ridges of her fingerprint drag along the knife's edge.
