Luther nodded his acknowledgement then turned looking round the room, he placed Excalibur in the scabbard on his back and handed his helm to a serf, nodding to those offering service and saying "we shall talk on this later" he then walked across the room to where a gap had appeared in the crowd and a woman moved in a hush surrounding her. Blood on her form, he studied her slim and perfect form, noting the intensity of her eyes.

"Should I thank you for my return to the living, for unless my guess is way off, you seem to have had an adventure that happily coincides with the death that relieved deaths grim hold on me, Is there a reason apart from personal pleasure that would require such action on your part, or was this merely play." He could feel power beyond imagination coming from her as he spoke, "Are our people at war that you enter and so swiftly dispose of your difficulties, or did the former King lay his hands upon your person in a fashion unacceptable, only to discover that you are more then you appear." His voice raising he commanded the guards "let none try and stop her movement, if she disposed of the former king in such swift fashion, then she would dispose of any and all just as easily." He turned back to Atra asking, "May I know your name, so that on the former kings memorial, we at least may place who so sweetly took his life"

Uther stood before her waiting, he had a feeling that she would and could kill as swiftly or even moreso then a serpent, and some instinctive knowledge made him consider that not enraging her was a wise idea. It seemed his clan had fallen on bad times, and it was not his wish to see it eradicated in one evening.

Shamus had heard the news of what had happened. And now making his way through the crowd he saw Uther. His father had mentioned this man in journals about Pendragon and Camelot. Seemed that he was here to witness the reign of a new king of Camelot. Shamus would offer Uther an alliance to aid Camelot in this dark time.

However his eyes fell on Atra now whom seemed to be the one who killed the king. Shamus eyed the woman's form and felt a bit sad she was one of the forces of darkness. Shamus made his way out of the crowd and stood off to the side. Since he had business with the king then he would not let this king out of his sight. Else the new king fall dead somewhere as well.

Since Shamus still recognized the old alliance he knew that now they were in this together. For Blackthorne would not let the murder of a king of an alliance go by without action. Hopefully Uther could prove to be a good king for Camelot. Shamus knew that the former king had showed promise, but he knew nothing about Uther. For now he would stand and watch the events play out if Uther needed assistance then Shamus would make himself known as a fellow king in arms.

Still it was a shame the woman was a malice, Shamus gave a shrug and continued to watch.

Llewel would rise from her bow and sheath her sword once more on the King's word and would stand back letting the King pass her. As she turned her eyes caught Rahvin kneeling beside her and she smiled softly. He had followed. He couldn't have been that far behind her or she would have noticed him after her introduction and oath. Smiling at him as the King passed she spoke. "Rahvin... I am glad you are at my side."

She looked up a moment for Elysse and looked at her. She never flinched and it was times like this she feverishly wished she was a telepath. She wanted Elysse to stay but had no way of making her wish known. All she could do was take a chance no one else was paying attention to her and mouth the words * Stay there, please * and hope the woman could read lips.

She then looked down at Rahvin. "I was worried about what had happened. Please forgive me for rushing off." She bit her lip slightly then stopped remembering her duty once more. Absently she rubbed her stomach where the 'feeling' had been a moment ago. She had managed to surpress it enough that it was more the feeling of an empty gullet than a severe attack on her person. She saw a look on her face that didn't sit well with her and she frowned letting her mind slowly reach for his wondering if his shields were up once more.

Duncan rose as the King passed him and helped Nia to her feet. He stood close to her, their hands clasped between them. When Uther spoke to the woman and Duncan shifted and saw the blood on her face he turned to Nia and whispered. "I want you to back up right now... move SLOWLY towards the back wall and stay there. No matter what happens. I do not want you hurt and I fear worrying will make me unable to be a guard this night if needed." He kissed her lips softly and smiled caresing her cheek then slowly pushed her back. "Please, Ladvinia. Stay in the back against the wall. If something happens, go out to the balcony. I will send a guard for you if something happens. Go to the children and take them to the barracks. You will be safe there."

He looked up as Uther spoke and smiled. The man was diplomatic. He did not wish war anymore than anyone else did this night of Solstice. He glanced once more at Nia and winked. "It will be all right, just go back to the wall so you aren't bumped by others when we all finally leave. I will come get you in a moment. It will all be fine. I promise."

A moment ago he feared a riot in the room, but hearing Uther's voice he now knew all would be as it should be... no matter what happened.
If you be friend... you be fine... but if you be foe... you be dead.

Ladvinia couldnt see anything through the crowd of people and due to her short height , when Duncan tunred it starteled her . "I am not leaving your side" ladvinia wisperd squeezing his hand. As he bent and kissed her she couldnt help but protest more " Duncan you dont think anything will happen do you? I cant leave you here if it is " she wisperd to him hot tears were flowing freely from her eyes."Please Duncan, Please becareful " she wisperd to him , kissing him once more "Please" She said as she turned to make her way to the back of the room .  As she walked more tears flowed from her eyes ... She had finaly found happiness and now it could end , almost as it had begune

Rahvin moved aside as well and as he stood next to her he remembered the prophecy given to him. It would seem it would come true if he did not do something. " I'm at your side till death m'lady I was once a knight myself. Camelot needs me and I serve her with honor. There is no reason for you to carry all the burden on your shoulders."

Looked to his trembling hand and then looked away. Already he was sweating despite the cold and his skin was pale. Though he pushed through the madness and gained a momentary reprieve. How much longer would it be before it all faded to black. Their lives were proven this day to be merely sparks in an infinite darkness. Already their king had died and a new one rose from the ashes of the former.

Rahvin looked to the woman who Luther spoke to and his eyes narrowed on that form. He'd been chosen to slay the darkness and take upon himself it's curse. This woman was not far from being those same creatures he'd fought and slain in his lifetime. Rahvin stayed his hand from his sword which already beckoned him to draw it and ready himself for battle.

How long had he looked into the abyss slaying it's minions only to now be near becoming part of that same abyss? Could he slay another creature of that darkness before falling into the same dark? Dark thoughts were upon his brow and yet he strove for the light of reason.

Rahvin listened to Llewellynn talk to him about how she was sorry for running off. Rahvin struggled for the answer he gave her, " Hmph...think nothing. ..of it your duty carries you where you are needed. If you did not I would have kicked your arse myself. One can not neglect their duty in such times for even a slight kindness carries with it a powerful healing wake. By merely being here we are helping shape the fate of the kingdom.

As long as we stand together nothing can over come our spirit even if we fall victim to those who would seek to taint Camelot's dream. I once knew Camelot fondly and it took returning for me to remember how much her dream is in all of us." Rahvin leaned back against the wall and exhaled as he looked to the new king.

" I hope Luther remembers Camelot as passionately I as once did. I sense dark tides for us all, and I don't think many of us will see many more sunrises from Camelot's walls. I hope Kalyssien has found the peace in death we all seek in life. I'll carry the symbol of him on my sleeve to honor him for the days to come.

And carry him on with me in memory and spirit so that even though he is no more no one will forget what he has done for us." Rahvin closed his eyes to the cruel contradiction of life. So this was the path he was set to choose. Would the light of day ever come to give them a sign that the world still exists outside Camelot's walls? Rahvin looked to Llewellynn.

" Hopefully we have the strength to lend the people in this time. For they shall need conviction to get them through what may come." Rahvin lowered his head as he went back to fighting his inner war.

The midnight bell began to toll, and with it's sounding, Sil'in removed his white mask...  The next few minutes were a blur, rushing past senses keen and honed to a fine sharp edge.  The blade Excalibur was gone, and then Oberon appeared.  With his words, and with Luther's appearance, the Drow stiffened, as if struck dumb by the news of Kalyssien's death.  The mask fell from ebon fingers, the porcelain shattering on impact.  As the mask fell, the seconds streamed by like an eternity for Sil'in.  Pangs of sorrow wracked his heart, causing him to catch his breath and hold it in.  The king, dead...  His friend, whom he'd known before the man had taken the throne, gone in an instant.  The sound of the shattering procelain snapped the drow from his thoughts, and slender hands deftly and calmly drew his daggers.  'Long live Luther!'  the words rang out around him...  Time still seemed to move slowly, as if this were a dream.  The drow fixed his gaze upon Duncan for a long moment.  Breaking away, his single good eye fixed upon Uther and the woman that had appeared.  Events were taking place that were grave indeed.  The time for mourning the king was not yet at hand, and the time for swearing vows of loyalty would wait until the situation was resolved.  The twin daggers, each one intricately engraved, slid noiselessly back into their places.  Violence now would only cause more violence, just as it always did.  Sil'in clenched his empty fists, and strode to where Duncan stood, taking his place next to the man.  He said nothing, but his grief and anger were written upon his brow, and burned within his coal black eye.  This was to be a night of joy, not sorrow...  However, the time to act was not yet at hand.

Llewel smiled when she heard him speak of duty. He truly understood where no one else, till now, had understood her position. "I am sorry anyway, I should have said something instead of running off like a mad woman possessed." She tried to laugh but found she couldn't quite muster it.

She frowned slightly as he leaned on the wall and out of habit reached for his arm whispering with concern. "Are you all right?" Her mind searched his and what she felt confused and worried her more.

There was nothing there.

She knew that couldn't be right. She had touched his mind just the night before and felt a presence there more powerful than she had touched before in someone who wasn't a mage or King. She opened her senses enough to allow her own Pendragon reach for his. What it ran into confused her more. There was darkness there, more than before. And while the large dragon was still there, it seemed to have grown to something more menacing and dark.

"Rahvin, what is wrong... Tell me and let me help." She looked towards the King swiftly to be sure he was still allright and saw the crowd pressed around him and Oberon. They were beginning to block her clear path to the King, and she worried more about Rahvin as well as she looked back and felt the dragon within her being forced from his mind.

The thrust was hard enough she let go of him as if burned and growled under her breath. "Rahvin, you shouldn't be here. Tell me what's wrong please. I can't help unless you let me." There was almost pleading in her voice. She had just met him, she didn't want to lose him now.

She looked up scanning the room for help. She locked eyes with Duncan and nodded towards the King. His nod back was enough for her. They had worked together long enough that she knew even without a sword, he would do his job and do it well.

She looked back at Rahvin awaiting his answer.

There she stood draped in the horror that had befallen Kalyssien, it was only until the passing of a few words from the lips of the resurrected King did her neck slightly turn in order to address him- those cold black void-kissed eyes looking upon him in a manner only the ancients could envy. In a motion that could only be determined as rapid motion, serpents waiting to strike in the very fluid graceful motion. Any guards were of no concern, vintage-stained lips curving into that nefarious grin as black eyes penetrated through the core of their being only to infuse the very essence of evil and darkness, an essence that cold freeze winter itself- ethereal gnarled caresses so sharp manipulating the metamorphic structure of the very air they breathed?Atra could infect them all with the plagues just as easily as scourge their souls from the husks they all crouched within.

Leaning slightly forth, perceptions focused on Suun?aise, should any try to contain her or lay even a finger upon her, hell would break lose and damnation would sink its talons deep into the flesh like a vampiric picnic leaving nothing but digested carcasses in her wake. Despite her blood-stained form glistening like rubies, crimson droplets beading over porcelain flesh forming an array of delicate gems lining her features causing an even more effervescent appearance before the court of Pendragon- with her attentions removed from Radu she would not have seen him leave and remerge after seeking his full from the crimson fountain of throats and wrists, such a cold saviour as they marvelled on his beauty whilst theirs faded?Even should any of the guards even ponder upon restraining either her or those whom had arrived with her, they would perish by her very jaws, though death for them would not come so swiftly as Kalyssien?s, theirs would suffer untold years, they would beg for death only to find themselves in the vaults of trepidation and dread- their tears would long fuel the engines before they would be no longer.

In not even a blink, her movement with an unsubstantial velocity- one minute she would be there upon the stairs, poised in grandeur and satisfaction and then right before Uther, allowing her the leisure to inhale his virtues and nature; stepping around him in a predatory manner from his left side, to back?sauntered voodoo sway over to the right before appearing in frontal view. Proudly her words would assail in a sonorous choir of contented words, for it was a glory to be had on her behalf, no shame or regret came with such words, aberrant and errant in her nature, yet just as beautiful as nature herself?revengeful in one reprise and nurturing and loving in another, towards very few. ?Your kings death was both revenge and play, hell fell to temptation just as easily as a lamb falls to the maws of a wolf?what is nature cannot be scorned save for the instance where my hands could snuff every living thing within these walls?but then perhaps that would make me a tyrant and place my nature as predictable.

I would rather relish in the fact whilst you slumber, when or if I shall strike again?upon whom I shall sate my craving for death, who shall be the chosen one to fuel my passions. I have so many left unexplored. But be rest assured if I had notions of war in which to declare upon your entire clan now sulking at your heels, they would have already been butchered?but why order from the main menu when I can chose the entrees at my leisure. Perhaps these walls have led your people into such a sense of false security that they have forgotten what it is to fear. That memory, the deeply seated essence is now awoken?lets just say, I saved you from yourselves only so that I may kill you later. This was just foreplay to war; my desires have yet to be revealed as with my nature. Your kings is dead?and look how your family mourns, they cower behind you like frightened children?it shows you how dispensable, even you are.?

Artfully her presence would no longer be lingering upon his enigma, like a flame unto deathbed- she would appear back at the side of Suun?aise, Radu in stealth returning to her side, even which was intoxicating enough in which to cherish- she heard the newfound blood pumping through his veins in heated rush?as words continued, though somewhat less bold and more beguiled in spectral resonance, like a funeral dirge as lovers wept at the crypt of Endymion. Radu presence and that of Suun?aise intoxicated her more, though his predatory prowess caused that spinal rake of anticipation to crawl over her flesh.

"As for thy name, well what can be said other than darkness herself, the primordial Madonna who causes even the Gods and the terrible ones slithering through the abyss to be silent, holding onto every action and every softly spoken word. I am fear, I am the phantoms which crawl and claim the souls of those slumbering, of infants, children, youths and adults. I am your worst nightmare?but should you wish for the materialism to place label to face, then?you shall know me as Atra?Lamia, though I doubt when your time comes you will be granted the fortitude to whisper it on your last dying breath. Does this answer your questions?sweetly??

Another chuckle escaped, it was a cold-hearted sound of one whom felt no pain or sorrow for it was the very essence she exhumed within the chilly atmosphere like apparitions reaching from the grave. The feral madness transfixed in her gaze? ?Don?t worry my dear?anyone can close their eyes and slumber when one sings a lullaby. Remember your betrayals well?for they shall be the only thing that keeps you warm at night with a dagger beneath your pillow or the servant to tame your poisons. And every moment it will be my face staring from the mirror within the fog and darkness smiling, for every fear expressed or hidden?you are my perfume in which I breathe. May this night be a lesson well learned, that enemies can come wearing many masks and many faces?some far more attractive than your mind could ever conjure. I hope you are not so feeble, though?going by past references, it is a battle you have already lost.?

She was mad, strictened with an incurable disease that was affecting her mind.  His reaction was more or less subdued as Atra had approached the former and risen King, that was now in a position, trapped between a rock and a hard place.  There was a faint smile upon his lips as she toyed and teased with the notion of unleashing all Hell upon those remaining within the walls of this now dismal Court.  The darkness had revealed itself for the devious, calculating and cunning tenebrous creature it has always been.  It was that very infliction that seemed to drive Radu, which drew him and what effects his condition.  The very attraction to that beautiful and deadly creature was present.  Handling the new King with such an air of authority, ballsy, bold and full of presence.  Though his eyes turned and adverted from time to time, watching those off to the sides, waiting for someone to jump the gun, as his hand slid down to his waist, concealed by his black velvet coat, and slid his arm down inside the satin inner-lined Battle Gauntlet.

He was and had found it quite amusing, and his demeanor had not seemed to change, though he had taken on a more predatorial stance.  His return announced the revitalized blood that was flushing through his veins, as he reached Atra with time to spare.  Scarlet veins were erupting through each pupil, encroaching upon the pupils, swallowing the iris sea surrounding, consumed by the now struck chord of lust, and turned that fiery blood hued gaze in the direction of the king ( Uther ).  A single pale hand came up and down, caressing over Atra's shoulder in a more of a possessive gesture, the slender digits covetting the crimson dress of sparkling jewels, rubies of a spilled and taken life.  His nails elongated into talons, momentarily, as their tips would carefully slide over the flesh.  Her speech had been rivetting, inspiring, and quite appropriate.  And for the moment he remained silent, thinking, pondering and plotting.

Zoelleannah was wandering throughout the gathered men and women she looked up as another female [Atra], came within the room. By the looks of her and to what the new king had said, she was the one that had killed Kalyssien. Zoelle tried not to look upon her but something was about that one that she wasn't able to tear her eyes from. Her words where cold and the meaning behind that was even colder, the woman was downright evil and Zoelle knew deep down inside that she would strike again. She sighed as she finally tore her eyes from her and was now looking to see if she was to spot either the Lady Kiante or Drak and his bride...

She walked on in hopes to find Drak and Fiamma soon, she had so many things she wanted to ask, things she was now certainly all confused about and she knew she needed them answered. Her eyes scanned the room again not seeing them but instead she accidently bumped into someone else [Sil'in] due to not looking where she was going. She looked up and apologized to him "I beg yer pardon M'lord". With a quick look at him she slowly walked by him...

She thought of something and wondered if she should do as then lightly nodded to herself. She was going to try and live up to her word, try to redeem herself and honor the late kings wishes. It all came to her when she had heard his voice telling her that she should be using her freedom wisely. She had made her mind up now to do just as he had wished for, this was the least she could do to show her graditude, as he had showed her mercy for stealing his purse. With this in mind she walked on she had herself a goal set and she would see how to conquer it. She was trying not to pay anymore attention to the woman speaking but it was hard not too as she spoke of wars coming to this very place. A cold shiver ran down Zoelle's spine as she heard of such plans and within her mind she hoped that the people of Camelot where able to defend such actions taken against their kingdom...

The drow had crossed his arms, watching the events of the evening unfold before him.  The woman that passed him by drew his attention for a brief moment.  He forced a smile and nodded respectfully to her as she passed, but his good eye was still cold with grief, brow furrowed.

The shadowy ethereal black eyes opened in front of Rahvin's as the fanged teeth showed from his mouth and the scaled skin black as coal overlapped his pale. It was there for a moment then gone just as quickly as if waking up from a dream. He looked to her and seemed to have taken no notice to the dark image. " No no I'm fine just a little light in the head is all." Yet something in his heart hurt like a dagger. Perhaps is was all the darkness in the air feeding his. Or maybe it was something he'd not seen in the moments since they left the outside.

" I have a duty to follow and I must be here, I once fed my darkness after the death of my wife. I thought that by letting everything I was die I could rest in peace. Perhaps find her in the afterlife and be whole again. But in doing that I felt more incomplete than ever. Until I went so far I could not turn back. That's when I was brought back home the first time. When I was healed of my darkest desires and given light once again. Maybe I'm stupid for coming here thinking it would save me again..." Rahvin looked away from her as his eyes began to water.

" I have to be here Llewellynn and I'll be fine, just don't let me distract you from your duty." Rahvin closed his eyes again and tried to summon up some strength for now was not a time to be weakened by the darkness inside him. The dark dragon wanted to be free to control him rather then be one. It was the line he drew in himself when he tried to forget Pendragon and Camelot. That line separated his being into two separate entities fighting for control. She was mending that wound which caused the recent bout to become a bit stronger in it's reaction.

" Let us hear what the king has to say of this vile creature before him and then I'll worry about myself." Though Rahvin was feeling fatigue greatly and his eyes were heavy. He'd left his roots back in his room which kept him awake when sleep was too close or not worth it. Reaching out to her shoulder he steadied himself and gave her a smile. Though inside the pain was unimaginable. The dragon within him was indeed powerful for it fed on the souls of those who had died in all the battles Rahvin had taken part of since their seperation. Now it was more powerful then it had been when they were one. And it felt like it was clawing it's way out of him from within.

Biting his lip till he drew blood slowly the ebb of the dragon's presence faded for the moment. He'd have to be more careful about how he handled himself. Half demonic and half shadow his dragon was nothing but darkness and rage. If he let it feed on his weakness to control it then he'd lose the battle. His form tensed as he fought it back in his mind and slowly gained some ground. Leaning against her and the wall he watched the king. His face close to her's almost close enough for their lips to touch he smiled. " You don't mind if I sort of lean here for a moment I need to regain my strength it'll only take a few minutes and my stamina should replenish itself."

Rahvin depended on her for now since he had come to trust her.

Llewel placed her feet a bit farther apart and let him lean on her. Turning her gaze back to check on the king, she left her hand on Rahvin's arm and when he rose to lean on her, she shifted so it seemed more like two warriors staying one another's hands, rather than one leaning on another for support.

Some looking at them may see two warriors ready for battle, some may see two lovers, depended what they desired to see.

When he brought his face close to her's and whispered a desire to lean on her she resisted the urge to turn and let her eyes meet his. She knew he was close and something told her a simple turn of head would brush their lips together. She shuddered inwardly and the breeze could be blamed if he felt it. "Of course, Rahvin. You have my strength as I have yours. And I wish I could give you more."

She had seen the change in him and the way his form almost shifted. She would have said something but it changed back so swiftly she wondered if she should mention the slip. To shift to a dragon in here would surely be seen as a challenge and while her own screamed for release and bellowed for the one who had released it before [L'Jess] to no avail as she supressed it. And as she surpressed the call within her, she felt Rahvin leaning on her. His fatigue was almost palatable.

"Rahvin, open yourself for me... just for a moment." She began to let the strength of her healing touch shimmer thru her body. She dared to turn her face a moment and smiled to him and locked her eyes with his to show her truth. "Trust me."

It was as noticable as a caress on the mind of a mage and no one past five feet would feel anything more than a soft rise in warmth like a swift waft from a fireplace. The feeling around them would cease, but the healing warmth and clearheadedness affect was there if Rahvin allowed it into him.

Duncan kissed Nia's hand as he let it go finally and turned his back on her tears to hide his own. Looking around the room he stood there, hands clasped before him as he would if he had a blade. Some thing never change.

As he glanced back he saw no sign of Llewel. Looking back a bit farther he saw Llewel and another man against the wall. Her attire may make her seem almost as if she were a misplaced waif, but the fact she held herself like the warrior she was contradicted them.

He saw her nod towards the King as she stood by the man leaning on the wall. He didn't know what was going on but she wouldn't be doing this without good cause. He moved a bit in the crowd as if seeking a better look at the woman the King was adressing. He kept one row of folks between him and the King though he knew those he stood behind and knew that if something should happen, they would back out of the way swift enough, and not panic like lazy coutisans.

He watched the display and gasped with the crowd when Atra suddenly reappeared several feet away back on the landing with Radu. He knew not who they were or from where they hailed but he nodded to the guards as they backed off with the King's words. The looks of confusion trouble him, but then again they were all slightly confused still. The fact they all reacted to the King's words without hesitation made him proud to be their Captain. Uther held Excalibur, he was the King, that was all they cared for in taking orders.

No guard would move on the group on the landing without the King ordering it.
If you be friend... you be fine... but if you be foe... you be dead.
