Ladvinia caught Duncans glance and smiled through the tears. She wanted him to know she was behind him . She wished that she was able to talk to him right now . She couldnt take it anymore , throwing her mask aside she slowly made her way up to where Duncan and Sil'in stood and sliped her hand into the hand that didnt weild a dagger. She wanted him to know she was here and would do anything for him .

She stared steadfast at the new king and the woman who killed the fomer king. She squeezed Duncans hand for reassurance.

Duncan jumped as something touched his hand. Only the fact he wasn't prepared for someone from behind kept him from drawing the dagger or hip tossing the poor creature. Seeing Nia he smiled, kissed her cheek and gave her hand a squeaze. "You should have stayed by the wall love." The pet name suited and it never ocurred to him he spoke it aloud.

He let go of her hand but made sure his fingers could brush hers as she desired. "Just promise to go to the nursery if I yell run. I will not push you away again." He winked at her then turned back to the King and Atra.

Things were getting interesting in their conversation and he didn't want to miss it. He would have to help head off rumors once this was over.

Till then, he was glad to have two folks who meant the world to him on either side. This Ball had so many negatives already, some positives were definitely due.

"i am not sure, i have never ridden before. as for affairs in the morrow, i am not sure where i will be, whether it be here, or in a different realm, in a different time." He lowered his head a bit, then looked back up not knowing what else to say at the moment.

she put a hand to her chest and gasped bending over as if in pain why it had not hit her till now she did not know she looked at her spilled red wine "blood... blood has been spilled tonight some one .. more then one have died... I fear we will not be able to go ridding tonight lord Cerdin... I think it is best if we stay here and try not to be noticed" She leaned against him then feeling the cold crushing feeling around her chest wenever she was near death.

Ladvinia saw Duncan jump and felt bad for scaring him. But felt reassured as he kissed her cheek and squeezed her hand." I couldnt just stand by I needed you to know I was here for you , I shouldnt have left the wall I know but I couldnt help it" blushing at the pet name he bestowed up her

" I promise you that if you yell run I will protect Ariana and Dare with my life and someone would have to shead my blood before getting to theirs" she vowed

This was the first time in her life that Ladvinia hadnt srunken away when danger had been upon them. Her heart was beating so fast she thought it would hop out of her chest and be able to run around the room. She was also shaking , but the tears had stoped and although she had Duncans hand to brush against it still did not take the chill or the shivers from her body.

A look of curiosity came over his face suddenly as she spoke of blood and death. He didnt know what had happened or where, but it had happened, he looked down at teh spilled wine, then back up at her. trying to comprehend what she was talking about, he embraced her as she leaned in closer to him. "What do you speak of? Who would be killed at a ball like such is happening? Perhaps it be best to stay here, be not worried, being unnoticed is my specialty. As he stood there holding her in his arms, he wondered what was going on, hearingthe words bloody and death rang in his ears. He had shed so much of those together in his lifetime that they were not unfamiliar words.

Death was not unatual but it often was tainted with darkness and that is how she felt it in her chest "It is close that is all i can say... all i feel is its weight crushing my heart from being so near..." her hand tightened over her chest and she shivered it had gotten colder or perhasp t was just her imagination

"Perhaps we should go find my travel friend Xion, he's the one that brought me through the portal from our village, perhaps he would let you come there. its not the greatest place in the world, but we are working to rebuild it." As he finished speaking, he felt her shivering, and began to rub her back in an attempt to perhaps warm her up. are you overly cold m'lady, your shivering like crazy" As he finished soeaking he began to move towards the exit of the balcony headed back to the ballroom to find Xion.

"Aye, I'd have wished for a more pleasant homecoming as well, but a home in danger is still a home."  The drow's smile was a confident one.  There had been worse situations, worse dangers, and deeper sorrows.  The loss of Kalyssien weighed heavy, like a great millstone on Sil'in's heart, but there would be time to say proper goodbyes once the danger had been dealt with.  Clapping a hand on Duncan's shoulder, the Drow crossed his arms once more, dark eye turning to gaze for half a moment at Llewellynn and L'jess.  Llewell he knew to be a strong warrior, and an equal.  He trusted her.  L'jess he did not know, but the man had the look of kinght, and a strong warrior.  It would be good to have men like that fighting for Camelot.  Glancing back to Duncan, Sil'in spoke once more in his same quiet tone.  "These new knights,"  He asked, with a half grin.  "Are they worth a damn?"  Duncan knew Sil'in well enough to understand the comment was not intended to disrespect any warrior who fought for Camelot, but to analyze the warriors themselves, and the strengths they possessed.  As he spoke these words to Duncan, the Drow gazed intently at Uther.  His good eye drank in the way the new king carried himself...  His motion would tell Sil'in more than any words could, and motion did not exagerate, or lie.  He did not comment to Duncan about Uther, or even speak his thoughts, but what Sil'in saw was a strong man who carried himself well.  'Perhaps all is not lost...' he thought silently to himself.

Sharp caress against the tender flesh of her shoulders, engrossing- captivating her attentions for a split second away from Uther whom had already began to bore her; eyes rolling slightly before coming to focus on Radu standing just behind her?dark eyes fixating askance over those striking features whom all else paled to compare to that splendour. He was indeed beautiful in many aspects, but that would never be spoken. His presence so close to her made her realize one thing; it was him she craved at her side- his beauty was the warmth and languor of an orient autumn caressing all the senses. Desire was upon her like a summer wind from Cythera so supreme with night; the sensations were almost natural, there without any provocation. Secret shadows clung closely twixt lips of scarlet, as if to hide the slightest quiver of grief, desire or half-forgotten darkness lulling sorrowful loves long dead? A thought glimmered from the darkness, wrought by some far and hidden flame once thought to be snuffed by an uncaring and dispassionate caress. Was it loveliness, or, love, or light of sunken moons remembered from the gardens none shall name that his face emerged? Image distorted at first?but there nonetheless. Words in retort from the king came as no consequence to her notice or attentions; they shall be left to partake in their celebrations of masked death and deception. Enchanted mirrors as demons stirred, glancing over the features of Radu before turning back to look upon Suun?aise as a long sigh plumed twixt lips and teeth. His touch beheld revelations, possessive or not it was doubly welcome?

Talons raking over smooth delicate flesh, pivoting to leave the sight of Uther only to place full attention upon Radu, allowing Atra and Radu to coalesce body to body as cold malignant eyes glanced directly into his- left hand ascending to glide along his cheekbone with the back of her soft tantalizing hand and knuckles. Such time came to leave these to their devices and futile celebrations, or so it would seem in her eyes. Shifting once again, hand clasping around his which once stroked against the delectable contours of exposed shoulders- allowing her fingers to slip twixt his in an undeviating grasp. It was clear her own energies waned; after all it had not been long after the ordeal of her rebirth and resurrection, the night had progressed and even she felt the early hours unfolding?but most importantly her interests remained in his company, and it was not ideal to partake in such discussions here amongst the ears and pretences of strangers. Should the King now speak he would simply be waved off like a child of pestilence or some haggard prattling incoherent words of fictitious astuteness.  Atra knew he was from her past, perhaps it was the essence he was no longer in her memory that caused the flames of jealousy to rise when noting him in the arms of another, how her body moved so seductively next to his. Even the notion caused her brow to arch in a ribbon of flawless sable- nose coming to softly nudge against his cheek bone? ?Take me from his place,  I seek the solace of night and the cold caress of darkness- such essences to shroud thy body in a web of ominous delight by overture of candlelight and lingering shadow. Shall we coalesce and unravel the mysteries??

Another step towards the doors leading outside, another glance placed on Suun?aise exquisite form allowing a wink to break the cold stare behind long ebony lashes- smile curving into something far more decadent and seductive in purpose?

Rei awoke from his bed and exited his room to find the castle in an up roar of disrepair and questions, after having heard many rumors from troops around he moved to where the ball was being held, anger slightly grew with the rumors as he had arrived, not sure where to start he started to seek llewelynn out, if anyone she would be able to clear things up, he had also trusted her the most within the kingdom at this time, the choas had seemed to be carried into this room as well, not knowing the history of here, he had no clue at all what had transpired...

As he led her down the hall, he put his mask back on, being sure not to let anyone in the ballroom see his entire face. "HE should be in the ballroom somewhere, if not we'll of course check outside" As they reached the ballroom, he continued to hold Sharla close, to try to warm her up. He led her around the edge of the room looking for Xion, but couldnt see him. "Darn, not in here. perhaps just outside then"

As he led her outside he couldnt help but pull her closer to his side. He searched the outside of the castle hoping to find Xion there. "Darn doesnt seem to be here either. I hope he hasnt already left... perhaps he is down where we came in through.." As he continued leading Sharla and holding her close, he headed out of the city walls, towards the waters where they had come through before.
